Blink Charging earnings beat EBITDA target but revenue and guidance slide

Miss — Revenue $18.4M vs ~$21.3M consensus; FY guide cut to $78M-$81M

Blink Charging’s Q3 earnings show an early EBITDA milestone, but a sharp revenue miss and another 2026 guidance cut keep growth under pressure.

Blink is midway through an operational reset: it has moved to contract manufacturing, cut its cost base, and is repositioning around charging, energy management, and more recurring revenue rather than near-term hardware volume.

The profitability reset is working earlier than planned, but the growth engine is still weak. Adjusted EBITDA reached positive territory one quarter ahead of the prior target, helped by sharply lower operating expenses and better-quality revenue. The filing calls this “the first positive quarter in the Company’s history,” while non-GAAP operating expenses fell 46% year over year.

Revenue is the clear shortfall versus the market bar. Q3 sales were about 14% below the published consensus and fell 15.1% sequentially, with customer projects pushed into Q4 and product revenue down 50.8% year over year. Management says the delay is timing-related, but the revised full-year range confirms that the issue is not just a single quarter: the new $78 million-$81 million outlook is below the prior $83 million-$90 million range. 〔0〕

The quality-of-revenue argument is improving, but it comes with a real contraction in scale. Recurring and repeatable revenue represented about 55% of the quarter, and network fee revenue grew 6.3% year over year, while the company deliberately exited a low-margin European contract. That supports the restructuring thesis, but it does not yet offset the loss of hardware and project volume; management is now relying on Q4 deliveries and a return to growth in 2027.

The balance sheet remains usable, but cash is moving in the wrong direction. Blink ended September with $30.5 million of cash and no debt, but cash declined about $3.5 million during the quarter and operating cash use was $6.6 million through nine months. The early EBITDA milestone therefore improves the operating story without yet proving that the business is self-funding.

Bottom line: Blink has demonstrated that its cost reset can reach adjusted EBITDA breakeven, but the market still has to wait for evidence of sustainable revenue growth. The revenue miss and second guidance reduction outweigh the early profitability milestone in this quarter’s read.
