Beat — Non-GAAP EPS $2.46 vs ~$2.21 consensus
Brink’s Q3 earnings beat EPS expectations while revenue slightly missed, guidance held, and NCR Atleos moved closer to an early-January close.
Brink’s is in the middle of shifting its business mix toward higher-margin ATM Managed Services and Digital Retail Solutions while preparing to acquire NCR Atleos, a combination intended to accelerate that transition. The acquisition was announced in February 2026 with an original $200 million annual synergy target, and management had already signaled regulatory progress and a 2027 close timeline.
Underlying execution was better than the headline revenue suggests. Non-GAAP EPS of $2.46 beat the published consensus of roughly $2.21, while adjusted EBITDA rose 8% to $274 million and non-GAAP operating margin expanded to 15.1% from 14.1% last year. Revenue of $1.375 billion, however, came in slightly below the roughly $1.39 billion consensus. Brink’s said, “Adjusted EBITDA grew 8%, and margins expanded by 90 basis points year-over-year.” 〔0〕
| Metric | Q3 2026 | Q3 2025 | Consensus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue (Financial Highlights) | $1,375M (+3%) | $1,335M | ~$1,390M |
| Adj. EBITDA (Financial Highlights) | $274M (+8%) | $253M | |
| Non-GAAP EPS (Financial Highlights) | $2.46 (+18%) | $2.09 | ~$2.21 |
| GAAP EPS (Financial Highlights) | $0.35 (-59%) | $0.86 |
The growth engine is increasingly the higher-margin mix. AMS/DRS organic growth accelerated sequentially, and the filing highlights 15 consecutive quarters of at least mid-teens organic revenue growth in those businesses. Europe and Rest of World produced particularly strong operating-profit growth, while Latin America was the weak spot: revenue increased 8%, but operating profit fell 2% as margins compressed. The positive read is therefore more about mix, pricing and productivity than broad-based acceleration across every region.
Guidance was maintained, not raised. The full-year 2026 framework remains unchanged, with mid-single-digit organic revenue growth, mid-to-high-teens AMS/DRS growth, 30–50 basis points of adjusted EBITDA margin expansion and 40–45% free-cash-flow conversion. The new fourth-quarter ranges imply another step-up in profitability, but they largely formalize the back-half acceleration already embedded in the prior framework. The release states, “2026 framework remains unchanged.” 〔1〕
The NCR Atleos path improved, but this was confirmation rather than a new deal. Brink’s now expects the acquisition to close in early January 2027, with 14 regulatory approvals received, money-transmitter licensing conditions completed and remaining antitrust reviews progressing. It also says synergy realization is expected sooner and that additional opportunities have increased confidence in the original $200 million run-rate target. Those are meaningful execution updates, but the acquisition, its strategic rationale and the broad synergy target were already public; this filing mainly reduces timing uncertainty. The company said, “The transaction is now expected to close in early January 2027, subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions.” 〔2〕
Cash generation remains the main counterweight. Nine-month free cash flow before dividends was $151.7 million versus $174.3 million a year earlier, while net debt increased to $2.732 billion from $2.595 billion at year-end. That reflects acquisition preparation and transaction spending, but it leaves less room for error as Brink’s funds and integrates Atleos. GAAP earnings were also sharply lower because of acquisition and transformation costs, incident losses and other excluded items; the non-GAAP beat is the cleaner measure of current operating execution, not the whole economic burden.
Bottom line: Brink’s delivered a real EPS and margin beat while keeping its operating framework intact and improving visibility on the Atleos close. It strengthens the existing AMS/DRS transition story, but it does not yet rewrite it because revenue missed slightly, cash conversion weakened and the acquisition remains unfinished.
