Board refresh — Two directors added; two long-serving directors departing
Entravision’s board refresh adds AI and finance expertise for its fast-growing ATS business, but also begins a broader director transition.
Entravision is trying to shift its growth engine toward Advertising Technology & Services, or ATS, while its traditional media business is comparatively mature. ATS revenue jumped 230% year over year in the second quarter of 2026, driven by AI-platform investment and expanded sales capacity, making technology execution and selling reach the central business challenge.
The appointments fit the company’s strategic pivot. Brian Krzanich brings senior technology and AI experience, while Gary Ferrera adds public-company finance and audit expertise. Both joined the board effective October 14, 2026. 〔0〕 Ferrera also joins the Audit Committee and qualifies as an audit committee financial expert. 〔1〕
This is governance support for ATS, not proof of another operating step-up. Management explicitly says the new directors are intended to help grow ATS, particularly through better technology and more selling. 〔2〕 But the filing provides no new revenue target, product launch, acquisition, or measurable operating commitment, so the appointments strengthen the capability story without changing near-term fundamentals.
The refresh also creates a meaningful board-transition wrinkle. Fehmi Zeko is leaving after seven years, while longtime audit chair Gilbert Vasquez will not seek reelection at the 2027 annual meeting. 〔3〕 〔4〕 That makes the event more than a simple addition of expertise: Entravision is replacing institutional tenure as it leans harder into technology.
Bottom line: The filing reinforces Entravision’s already visible ATS-and-AI strategy and adds credible technology and finance experience, but it is an enabling governance move rather than a new business inflection point.
