Quarterly bridge — Extended through March 31, 2027, then renews in three-month periods
Entravision’s new Univision agreement prevents an immediate year-end break, but delivers only a short bridge with 2026 economics unchanged.
Entravision is the largest affiliate group for TelevisaUnivision’s Spanish-language networks, relying on those relationships for station programming, advertising support and retransmission-consent economics. The agreements were already known to expire on December 31, 2026, and management had disclosed that renewal talks were underway.
The filing removes the immediate renewal cliff, but does not deliver a long-term renewal. The affiliation and marketing agreements now run through March 31, 2027, then automatically renew in successive three-month periods unless either side gives 30 days’ notice. 〔0〕 〔1〕 That is useful continuity for Entravision’s television business, but it leaves the strategic relationship subject to repeated near-term renegotiation rather than resolving the underlying uncertainty.
The economics are being carried forward, not improved. Subscriber fees and the annual Entravision retransmission-consent advertising threshold in effect for 2026 will continue after 2026. This makes the extension more of a stability measure than a growth or margin event.
Relative to expectations, this is a partial resolution rather than a clean win. The direction—some form of continued partnership—was already expected because the existing contracts were approaching expiration and renewal discussions were public. The new information is the short bridge and the absence of disclosed new commercial terms; no published consensus is relevant for this type of agreement.
Bottom line: Entravision has bought continuity beyond December 31, 2026, which protects the near-term station platform. But because the deal is only a quarterly rollover with 2026 economics preserved, the bigger renewal question remains open.
March 1, 2027 non-renewal deadline
