Merger approvals — Century shareholders approved; regulatory non-objections received; close expected November 1
Bank7’s Century acquisition clears shareholder and regulatory hurdles, leaving only closing conditions before the planned November 1 merger.
Bank7 is expanding from its Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas base into New Mexico through the planned Century combination, a transaction designed to add a roughly $1.2 billion deposit franchise and bring the combined company to approximately $3.3 billion of assets. This filing removes two important execution hurdles, but does not change the strategic story. Century shareholders approved the merger, and Bank7 received regulatory approval or non-objection from the Federal Reserve and New Mexico regulators. 〔0〕 〔1〕
The transaction is now closer to completion, but it is still not closed. Management is targeting approximately November 1, 2026, while explicitly retaining the caveat that other closing conditions remain. 〔2〕 Because the merger, its strategic rationale, and the target closing window were already disclosed in September, today’s update is confirmation of expected milestones rather than a new economic surprise.
Bottom line: Bank7’s New Mexico expansion is moving through the expected approval process on schedule. The filing meaningfully lowers closing risk, but it does not yet add new economics or prove the integration benefits of the acquisition.
