Telix collaboration
Profound Medical’s new Telix agreement expands physician education and could widen TULSA-PRO’s market, but offers no near-term revenue commitment.
Profound is in an active commercialization push for TULSA-PRO: revenue growth, payer expansion and a growing installed base are improving access, but physician adoption remains the central bottleneck. The company ended Q2 2026 with 84 installed systems and has recently highlighted strong preliminary Q3 revenue, so this agreement targets the next layer of growth—reaching more urologists and increasing procedure utilization.
The agreement expands Profound’s commercial funnel rather than its financials. Telix will help expose TULSA-PRO to urologists, radiologists, nuclear-medicine physicians and prostate-cancer centers through meetings, education programs, clinical cases and best-practice materials. 〔0〕 That is strategically relevant because TULSA adoption requires physicians to understand both patient selection and how the procedure fits into the broader prostate-care pathway, but the filing provides no committed customers, revenue target, reimbursement milestone or commercial launch date.
The more meaningful upside is the planned PSMA-PET integration, not the education campaign itself. Profound is developing software to combine Telix’s PSMA-PET data with real-time intra-operative MRI for TULSA treatment planning. 〔1〕 If delivered, that could make TULSA-PRO more differentiated and help physicians determine which higher-risk patients remain treatable, how much tissue to ablate and where to set treatment margins. Those are plausible adoption enhancers, but they remain development plans rather than validated clinical or commercial outcomes.
This is incremental positive news against the current adoption story, not a step-change. Profound’s recent results already showed commercial momentum, including a qualified sales pipeline and broader reimbursement access. The Telix relationship adds a credible channel into the prostate-cancer ecosystem and could broaden the addressable patient pool, but the filing is explicitly a framework for collaboration and does not quantify the economic terms or prove that PSMA-PET will increase TULSA procedure volume.
Bottom line: The Telix agreement strengthens Profound’s route to physician adoption and adds a potentially valuable imaging-based differentiator. It matters strategically, but near-term business impact is still mostly prospective rather than demonstrated.
