Delisting notice — Bid price below $1.00 for 30 consecutive business days
Curis received a new Nasdaq delisting notice after its July reverse split failed to keep the bid price above $1. The appeal is the only immediate path to preserve its listing.
Curis is a cash-constrained clinical-stage biotech centered on emavusertib, with no commercial revenue and substantial dependence on financing to keep its development programs moving. Its June 30, 2026 filing said it had $5.1 million in cash, used $18.6 million in operating cash during the first half, and did not have enough cash to fund operations for 12 months without additional capital.
The Nasdaq problem has returned despite the company’s main remedy. Curis completed a 1-for-20 reverse split on July 6, but the stock still closed below Nasdaq’s $1.00 minimum bid requirement for 30 consecutive business days. This is more than routine compliance paperwork: Nasdaq says Curis cannot receive the ordinary cure period because of its recent reverse split, leaving the company with less procedural room than it had before.
The appeal preserves a chance to stay listed, but does not repair the underlying weakness. Curis intends to request another hearing, which should temporarily stay further delisting action, but the filing offers no evidence that the bid-price problem has been fixed or that the appeal is likely to succeed. 〔0〕 Because Nasdaq compliance is important for access to investors and future financing, another listing failure adds pressure to an already underfunded clinical program; the 10-Q separately identified continued Nasdaq compliance and adequate financing as material business risks.
Bottom line: This reopens a known Nasdaq problem after the reverse split failed to provide a durable fix. The appeal buys time, but the filing weakens Curis’s financing and operating story rather than advancing its drug-development progress.
