Beat — GAAP EPS $(1.00) vs ~$2.13 loss consensus; revenue $7.34M vs ~$7.80M
PSQ Holdings earnings show a sharp EPS and cost-control improvement, but revenue missed consensus as cash remains tight during the fintech pivot.
PSQ Holdings is midway through a fintech-only repositioning: it is exiting consumer brands and trying to scale payments and financial infrastructure through merchant and lender integrations. The direction was already established before this report, including its reaffirmed 2026 revenue target and positive non-GAAP operating-income goal, while new distribution relationships such as LendSuite are intended to build into 2027.
The quarter beat on per-share loss, but missed the revenue bar. Third-quarter GAAP loss per share was $1.00 versus a published consensus loss of roughly $2.13, while revenue was $7.34 million versus consensus near $7.80 million. The result is therefore a mixed earnings print: materially better loss control than expected, but weaker top-line delivery than the market had penciled in. The year-over-year revenue increase was still substantial: "Revenue grew 67%". 〔0〕
| Q3 2026 | Q3 2025 | Consensus | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue, net (Statements of Operations) | $7.34M (+66.7%) | $4.40M | $7.80M |
| Net loss per share (Statements of Operations) | $(1.00) | $(3.90) | $(2.13) |
| Non-GAAP operating income/(loss) (Non-GAAP reconciliation) | $0.34M | $(2.19M) | |
| Cash and cash equivalents (Balance Sheet) | $3.84M | $14.64M at Dec. 31, 2025 |
Cost control is the strongest part of the report. PSQ generated its second consecutive quarter of positive non-GAAP operating income, turning a $2.19 million loss a year earlier into $338,303 of income, while operating expenses and the GAAP operating loss both improved. Management said, "we delivered our second consecutive quarter of positive non-GAAP operating income." 〔1〕 That is meaningful evidence that the fintech pivot is becoming more efficient, even though it has not yet produced the expected revenue scale.
The cash position still limits how much credit to give the improvement. Management said quarterly cash used in operations fell to $1.7 million from $6.1 million a year earlier, but the balance sheet ended September with only $3.84 million of unrestricted cash and $45.30 million of total liabilities, including $28.45 million of convertible notes. The company also reaffirmed its $32 million full-year revenue target and positive non-GAAP operating-income goal, but nine-month revenue of $22.6 million leaves roughly $9.4 million required in the fourth quarter to reach that target. "we are reaffirming $32million in revenue and positive non-GAAP operating income for 2026".
The strategic cleanup is complete, but it is not an earnings surprise. EveryLife was sold on November 5, 2026 for gross proceeds of $5.5 million, including $1.0 million in cash and a $4.5 million seller note, completing the exit from consumer brands. That simplifies the story and concentrates resources on payments, but the sale was already disclosed and the cash proceeds are modest relative to the company’s obligations. The company also said the previously reported cash-flow presentation material weakness had been remediated as of September 30, 2026, removing an accounting-control overhang rather than creating a new growth driver.
Bottom line: This was a better-than-expected loss quarter and a credible cost-control step, but revenue missed and liquidity remains tight. The filing modestly improves the operating story without yet proving that the fintech pivot can scale fast enough to remove the financing pressure.Կ
