Cbre Group, Inc. (CBRE) · Nov 5, 2026 · New debt
$1B senior notes — $500M due 2032 at 5.650% plus $500M due 2037 at 5.900%
CBRE’s debt offering is complete, providing funding for the pending Onnec acquisition while adding $1 billion of senior unsecured obligations.
CBRE is expanding beyond traditional real estate services into data-center and critical-infrastructure work, with Onnec intended to add network, fiber and data-center capabilities across Europe and Asia-Pacific. Onnec is expected to contribute about $498 million of 2027 revenue and more than $67 million of core EBITDA, while CBRE has said the acquisition supports a broader infrastructure-services strategy.
The financing has now closed, but the strategic news is not new. CBRE completed the previously announced issuance of $1 billion of senior notes—$500 million due 2032 and $500 million due 2037. The proceeds are earmarked partly for the pending Onnec acquisition and partly to repay commercial-paper borrowings. 〔0〕
| Term | 2032 Notes | 2037 Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Principal (Item 1.01) | $500M | $500M |
| Coupon (Item 1.01) | 5.650% | 5.900% |
| Maturity (Item 1.01) | Jan. 15, 2032 | Jan. 15, 2037 |
This removes funding uncertainty but adds a meaningful fixed financing burden. The notes carry a blended coupon of about 5.775%, implying roughly $57.8 million of annual interest before fees and tax, while the company is taking on senior unsecured obligations rather than funding the deal entirely from cash. The Company guarantees both series on a full and unconditional basis. 〔1〕
Relative to the standing story, this is execution—not a change in direction. CBRE had already announced the Onnec transaction and the note offering, and its recent materials described continued infrastructure growth alongside softer capital-markets activity. The filing confirms that the financing leg is complete; it does not change the purchase price, expected operating contribution or regulatory path of the acquisition.
Bottom line: CBRE has secured the debt needed to advance its data-center infrastructure expansion, but the closing was already expected. The filing mainly converts a planned financing into an executed one, leaving the broader business story unchanged for now.
