Beat — Diluted EPS $0.42 vs ~$0.17 consensus; revenue $341.1M vs ~$252.9M consensus
Solaris earnings beat consensus on revenue and EPS, while a new 900-MW contract and fresh financing deepen its shift into data-center power infrastructure.
Solaris is shifting from an oilfield-logistics business toward a power-infrastructure provider for data centers and industrial customers, with its Power Solutions segment now driving the transformation. That shift is visible in the quarter: Power Solutions generated $284.2 million of revenue versus $56.9 million for Logistics, while the company says its offerings cover generation, distribution, installation, and operations and maintenance for data-center and industrial demand.

The quarter materially beat the market’s operating bar. Revenue of $341.1 million was far above the published ~$252.9 million consensus, while diluted EPS of $0.42 more than doubled the ~$0.17 expectation. Adjusted EBITDA also exceeded the company’s already-raised $110 million–$130 million range, landing at $136.1 million. The result was not just acquisition accounting or a small revenue beat: Power Solutions revenue grew to $284.2 million, and operating income rose to $67.0 million. The filing reports, “Net income of $39million, which increased 56% from second quarter 2026, and $0.42per diluted Class A common share.”
The more important change is contractual visibility, not the quarter alone. Solaris signed a 15-year agreement, with a further 15-year extension option, to supply about 900 MW of generation and related services to an existing investment-grade customer. Deployments start in the first half of 2027 and scale through 2028, turning the data-center power pivot into a larger contracted backlog rather than simply a high-growth operating segment. 〔0〕
Solaris is funding that expansion aggressively, which strengthens capacity but raises execution and leverage stakes. The company completed a $1.25 billion senior-notes offering and added $200 million of bank commitments, taking revolver capacity to $850 million. That supports the equipment buildout and the additional 200 MW of capacity procured for 2027 contracts, but Solaris’ debt attributable to the company reached $2.40 billion at September 30 versus $973 million at year-end. The filing says it “Successfully completed a $1.25billion senior, unsecured notes offering and secured additional $200million of bank commitments.”
Near-term utilization is still transitioning. Average revenue-generating capacity fell 14% sequentially to about 820 MW because Solaris released temporary third-party generation while moving toward owned capacity under long-term contracts. That makes the new contract wins strategically valuable, but the earnings trajectory now depends on deploying owned equipment on schedule and converting the financing into contracted capacity. 〔1〕
Bottom line: This was a clear earnings beat accompanied by a meaningful increase in contracted power visibility. The filing strengthens Solaris’ data-center infrastructure story, while the much heavier debt load makes execution on the 2027 buildout central to whether that story holds.
900-MW contract deployments begin in 1H 2027
