Mid Penn Bancorp Inc (MPB) · Nov 2, 2026 · Exec change
COO appointed
Mid Penn’s executive change names a veteran COO and reorganizes operations after rapid expansion, but offers no new financial target or strategic pivot.
Mid Penn is in post-acquisition integration mode after expanding through William Penn, 1st Colonial and Cumberland Advisors transactions across 2025 and early 2026. The reshuffle is a sensible execution move, not a strategic pivot. Scott Micklewright, a 17-year Mid Penn veteran, is taking over most operating divisions, including lending, deposits, credit, retail banking and mortgages. 〔0〕 That puts a deeply familiar operator at the center of coordinating a larger institution, which modestly supports the company’s integration story. The changes broaden accountability without signaling disruption. Heather Hall moves into a western-division president role focused on customer development, while Margaret Steinour becomes chief operations officer and Heather Petito-Bentley takes over as chief administrative officer. 〔1〕 〔2〕 All four executives are internal promotions or redeployments; there is no CEO transition, financial target, acquisition announcement or capital action here. Bottom line: This modestly strengthens Mid Penn’s post-expansion operating structure, but it does not materially change the business outlook on its own.
