Nurix Therapeutics, Inc. (NRIX) · Oct 13, 2026 · Earnings
Miss — diluted EPS $4.73 vs ~$5.11 consensus
Nurix’s earnings show a Roche-driven revenue surge and runway extension, while diluted EPS falls short of consensus and NX-2127 is cut.
Nurix is a clinical-stage targeted-protein-degradation biotech now shifting from funding-constrained development toward a Roche-backed Phase 3 push for bexobrutideg, while building a second wholly owned oncology program around NX-1607. Roche’s collaboration and planned Phase 3 launch were already public before this report, so the quarter mainly shows execution, cash conversion and clinical follow-through rather than a new strategic surprise.
The headline earnings comparison is mixed, with the scorecard landing as a miss on EPS. Diluted EPS was $4.73 versus a published consensus of roughly $5.11, even as revenue reached $673.1 million versus roughly $479.5 million expected. The revenue outperformance is largely accounting recognition of the Roche upfront, not recurring product demand: $653.2 million came from license revenue and another $10.0 million from Sanofi’s development milestone.
| Metric | Q3 2026 | Q3 2025 / expectation | Filing location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Total revenue | $673.1M | $7.9M prior year; ~$479.5M consensus | Financial results |
| License revenue | $653.2M | $0 prior year | Financial results |
| Diluted EPS | $4.73 | $(1.03) prior year; ~$5.11 consensus | Financial results |
| R&D expense | $79.3M | $86.1M prior year | Financial results |
| G&A expense | $34.4M | $13.2M prior year | Financial results |
| Cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities | $1.1B | Runway into second half of 2029 | Corporate update |
The business story improved materially even though the accounting quarter was lumpy. The Roche close gives Nurix the resources to fund its 40% share of development costs, and the company says it now has $1.1 billion in cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities with runway into the second half of 2029. That is the most important change to the standing story: financing risk is substantially reduced, while the lead asset moves into a registrational trial.
Clinical execution is advancing, but the evidence remains developmental rather than commercial. Nurix enrolled the first patient in DAYBreak CLL-306, a roughly 620-patient Phase 3 comparison against pirtobrutinib, and reported response rates of 83.0% in heavily pretreated CLL and 92.9% in an earlier-line Phase 1b group. 〔0〕 The Roche partnership makes this progress more credible operationally, but the core value still depends on whether the randomized trial confirms superiority and supports regulatory filings.
Portfolio prioritization is sharper, with NX-1607 gaining resources as NX-2127 is abandoned. The company started NX-1607 expansion cohorts in four solid-tumor settings and a pembrolizumab combination cohort, while discontinuing further clinical development of NX-2127. 〔1〕 That trims pipeline breadth but concentrates capital and attention behind the Roche-partnered lead asset and the next most advanced wholly owned program.
Bottom line: This is a strategically important quarter because Roche funding removes the near-term cash constraint and Phase 3 execution has begun. The earnings beat on revenue is mostly a one-time collaboration accounting benefit, and the diluted-EPS miss means the financial scorecard is less clean than the operational progress.
