Commercial scale plan — 9 committed facilities, 65,000 operating hours, and $300M+ multi-year orders
Churchill’s investor day adds operating detail around Agility’s Digit 5 launch, customer pipeline and factory plans—but the key economics remain unproven.
Agility is moving from early commercial deployments toward scaled industrial humanoid production: Digit is already working in customer facilities, while Digit 5 is being positioned as the product that can expand deployments across manufacturing, distribution and logistics. The broader public-company transaction and the Digit 5 launch were already announced, so this filing is mainly an investor-day detail dump rather than a new strategic pivot.
The operating evidence is real, but still early. Agility points to 9 committed customer-facility deployments, 65,000 operating hours, 98% accuracy in two cited workflows, and more than $300 million of multi-year Digit 5 orders. The important distinction is that the order figure covers 1,000 robots under a three-year RaaS contract and depends on contractual milestones; it is potential future value, not current revenue.
| Metric | Filing disclosure |
|---|---|
| Committed customer-facility deployments (Our metrics) | 9 |
| Operating hours (Our metrics) | 65,000 |
| Committed Digit 5 orders (Our metrics) | $300M+ potential multi-year value |
| RoboFab annual production capacity (Our metrics) | 10,000 robots |
| Proposed transaction gross proceeds (Financial outlook) | $620M |
| Incremental capital anchored by Foxconn (Financial outlook) | ~$200M |
| Pre-money equity value (Financial outlook) | $2.5B |
| Year-end 2027 facility goal (Growth goals) | Up to 25 |
The financing supports the right bottleneck, but does not remove execution risk. The proposed $620 million of gross proceeds, with 100% of net proceeds intended for growth, would fund customer-order fulfillment, Digit 5 production and deployment expansion. But the transaction itself was already public, so the new information is how management plans to deploy the capital—not an unexpected funding catalyst.
The central risk is that scale is still ahead of the business. Digit 5 is planned for a strategic rollout to existing partners in the first half of 2027 and general availability by the end of 2027, while RoboFab’s 10,000-unit figure is stated capacity rather than demonstrated output. Management also explicitly says Agility has not achieved positive operating cash flow and expects continuing losses, while the customer ROI, bill-of-materials reductions, production ramp and 2027 deployment goals are illustrative assumptions rather than reported results.
Bottom line: This filing makes Agility’s commercialization story more tangible by showing real deployments, customer interest and a funded manufacturing plan. It matters as validation of the scale-up path, but it does not yet prove that the order book will convert into revenue or that the projected economics will hold at production scale.
