Debt maturity extended — Delayed Draw Term Loans extended from October 31 to November 30, 2026
MediaCo’s debt amendment extends delayed-draw maturities only to November 30 while acknowledging continuing defaults and lender remedies.
MediaCo is carrying a recently expanded television, radio and digital-media platform after bringing Estrella fully into the company, but the operating turnaround remains financially fragile: six-month 2026 revenue rose 10% while operating loss widened to $12.4 million and adjusted EBITDA fell 61% year over year.
This is a very short extension, not a financing solution. The amendment moves the delayed-draw maturity from October 31 to November 30, 2026, giving MediaCo roughly 30 additional days to refinance, raise capital, generate cash or reach another lender agreement. 〔0〕
The more important disclosure is that the lenders are no longer simply accommodating a scheduled maturity. The amendment acknowledges that defaults and/or events of default have occurred and are continuing, while the lenders reserve all rights and remedies under the loan documents. 〔1〕 〔2〕 That materially raises the pressure around the November 30 deadline: this is an extension under distress, not evidence that the balance sheet has been repaired.
Relative to the prior situation, the direction was partly expected but the credit posture is worse. MediaCo had already extended these loans once to October 31, so another maturity push was foreseeable; however, the explicit continuing-default acknowledgment makes this filing more negative than a routine refinancing update. The company entered this period with limited cash, ongoing losses and substantial near-term liquidity needs, leaving little room for another missed deadline.
Bottom line: MediaCo has bought time, not solved its debt problem. The filing weakens the current story because lenders are preserving enforcement rights while the company remains dependent on a near-term refinancing or capital event.
