Gogo Inc. (GOGO) · Nov 6, 2026 · Earnings
Miss — Revenue $213.2M vs ~$216.5M consensus; EPS $(0.02) vs $(0.01) consensus
Gogo’s Q3 earnings missed revenue and EPS expectations, while Galileo adoption accelerated and a debt extension buys more transformation runway.
Gogo is in the middle of replacing its declining domestic air-to-ground business with Galileo LEO and GEO satellite connectivity; Galileo adoption is accelerating, but the legacy ATG base still drives the near-term numbers. The company’s Q3 release adds operational and financing support to that transition, but does not yet show a financial inflection.
The quarter missed a modest market bar. Revenue was $213.2 million versus published expectations of about $216.5 million, while diluted EPS was a $0.02 loss versus an expected $0.01 loss. That makes this a genuine earnings miss, not merely weak year-over-year optics.
| Metric | Q3 2026 | Q3 2025 | Consensus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Total revenue (Financial Highlights) | $213.2M (-4.6%) | $223.6M | $216.5M |
| Diluted EPS (Income Statement) | $(0.02) | $(0.01) | $(0.01) |
| Adjusted EBITDA (Reconciliation) | $41.0M (-27%) | $56.2M | |
| Business aviation service revenue (Disaggregated Revenue) | $145.6M (-10%) | $162.6M | |
| Gogo Galileo aircraft online (Key Business Metrics) | 297 (+1,550%) | 18 | |
| Gogo Galileo units shipped (Operational Highlights) | 172 (+95%) | 88 |
The core business is still deteriorating faster than the new platform is monetizing. Business aviation service revenue fell 10% year over year, total ATG aircraft online dropped 17%, and adjusted EBITDA fell 27%; service costs also rose 6.2% year over year. The Galileo ramp is encouraging, but 297 aircraft online remains too small to offset the shrinking ATG base. "Our third quarter results reflect meaningful progress in Gogo’s transformation from a domestic provider of ATG connectivity into a global provider of high-speed LEO and GEO satellite connectivity to the business and mil/gov markets"
The balance sheet gets more runway, not a clean solution. Extending the roughly $600 million term loan to October 2030 reduces near-term refinancing pressure, but the agreement also commits Gogo to $75 million of principal repayments through 2027, including a $25 million immediate paydown. "Commits Gogo to $75million in principal repayments through the end of 2027" With only $90.7 million of cash at quarter-end and $814.6 million of long-term debt, the financing buys time while preserving a meaningful deleveraging burden.
Several strategic milestones strengthen the longer-term transition, but remain ahead of the financial proof. The FCC renewed Gogo’s exclusive nationwide ATG spectrum licenses through 2036, and the company reported a six-month extension for its network replacement program to May 8, 2027. "Gogo received a six-month extension from the Federal Communication Commission (“FCC”) for the completion of it’s “Rip & Replace” network program, from November 8, 2026 to May 8, 2027." 〔0〕 Those developments reduce execution pressure, while new OEM, fleet, and government contracts provide evidence of demand; however, management left full-year revenue, EBITDA, and free-cash-flow guidance unchanged. "Gogo is reiterating its financial guidance previously provided in August." 〔1〕
Bottom line: Gogo is advancing the Galileo transition and improving its financing runway, but Q3 still shows the old business shrinking faster than the new one is replacing it. The event is therefore a modest earnings miss with meaningful strategic offsets, not a clean turnaround signal.
