Beat — Non-GAAP EPS $(0.02) vs ~$0.04 loss consensus; revenue $25.8M vs ~$24.5M
Arteris earnings beat revenue and adjusted EPS expectations, while stronger AI-driven demand lifted its 2026 guidance despite margin pressure and dilution.
Arteris is a semiconductor IP company building the interconnect, integration, and security layers needed for increasingly complex AI, chiplet, and edge-system designs; the prior quarter had already established strong AI and data-center demand, with Q3 revenue guided to $24.0–$25.0 million and full-year revenue to $95.0–$98.0 million. The quarter cleared both the company’s own bar and published expectations. Revenue reached $25.8 million, above the prior $24.0–$25.0 million guide and roughly $24.5 million consensus, while non-GAAP loss per share was $0.02 versus an expected $0.04 loss. The quality of growth was also strong: ACV plus royalties reached $103.8 million, up 39% year over year, and licensing, support, and maintenance revenue rose to $22.4 million from $15.9 million.
| Metric | Q3 2026 | Comparison |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue (Financial Highlights) | $25.8M (+48%) | $24.5M consensus |
| Non-GAAP loss per share (Non-GAAP EPS reconciliation) | $(0.02) | $(0.04) consensus |
| ACV + royalties (Financial Highlights) | $103.8M (+39%) | $99.0M–$103.0M prior Q3 guide |
| Non-GAAP gross margin (Non-GAAP reconciliation) | 89% | 91% Q3 2025 |
| FY 2026 revenue guide (Guidance) | $98.5M–$99.5M | $95.0M–$98.0M prior guide |
Guidance moved higher, confirming that the beat was not just timing. The full-year revenue range increased to $98.5–$99.5 million, while ACV plus royalties rose to $103–$107 million from $102–$106 million previously. The upgrade is modest, but it says the stronger customer-design activity is carrying into the fourth quarter rather than being confined to one large booking.
The main offset is that growth still has not translated into clean GAAP profitability. GAAP operating loss widened to $11.3 million from $8.7 million, and gross margin fell to 87% from 90% as operating costs, stock compensation, and acquisition-related expenses expanded. Even on the adjusted measure, Arteris remained loss-making, with a $1.2 million non-GAAP operating loss, although that was better than the $3.5 million loss a year earlier.
The balance sheet is safer, but part of that improvement came from issuing stock. Arteris raised $72.0 million through its at-the-market offering, lifting cash and investments substantially and pushing stockholders’ equity positive; however, shares outstanding increased to 49.7 million from 44.3 million at year-end. That funding reduces near-term financing pressure, but it also means more of the eventual business value is spread across shareholders.
Bottom line: This was a genuine execution beat with a modest guidance raise, strengthening Arteris’s AI-and-chiplet growth story. The business is accelerating, but margin compression, continuing losses, and equity-funded expansion keep it from being a complete operating-profitability breakthrough.
