Beat — Non-GAAP diluted EPS $0.31 vs ~$0.27 consensus
A10 Networks earnings beat revenue and EPS expectations, with stronger margins and new 2029 targets pointing to sustained AI-networking demand.
A10 is transitioning from a traditional networking vendor into a security-focused platform for AI infrastructure, hybrid-cloud traffic, and increasingly complex networks. Its prior outlook already called for 12–14% full-year revenue growth and 14–16% EPS growth, so the growth story was known; the new information is the pace of execution.
The quarter cleared expectations by a wide margin. Revenue reached $91.5 million, versus published consensus of roughly $83.9 million, while non-GAAP diluted EPS was $0.31 versus about $0.27 expected. The result was not just revenue timing: adjusted EBITDA margin expanded to 32.2% from 29.3% a year ago, and GAAP operating margin improved to 20.0% from 17.4%.
| Q3 2026 | Q3 2025 | Consensus | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue (Statement of Operations) | $91.5M (+22.6%) | $74.7M | ~$83.9M |
| Non-GAAP diluted EPS (Non-GAAP reconciliation) | $0.31 | $0.23 | ~$0.27 |
| GAAP operating margin (Operating margin reconciliation) | 20.0% | 17.4% | |
| Adjusted EBITDA margin (EBITDA reconciliation) | 32.2% | 29.3% | |
| Operating cash flow, nine months (Cash Flow statement) | $65.3M | $62.2M |
The quality of growth improved alongside the headline numbers. Product revenue rose about 36% year over year, materially faster than services, while operating income grew roughly 41%. That supports management’s claim that AI deployments, rising traffic, and security complexity are translating into broader demand rather than only a low-margin volume spike. The main qualification is that inventory more than doubled from year-end to $36.4 million, consistent with the supply constraints management highlighted and creating some working-capital pressure.

The new 2029 targets raise the strategic ambition, but they are not yet an operational forecast. Management now targets $500 million of annual revenue and $2.00 of annual non-GAAP EPS by fiscal 2029, implying 14% compound annual revenue growth. That is a meaningful extension of the AI-networking thesis, but it remains a long-dated company target rather than a near-term guidance change.
Capital return remained substantial. A10 returned $27.4 million during the quarter through buybacks and dividends, including $23.0 million of repurchases. That reinforces cash-generation credibility, although the company still carries roughly $220 million of long-term debt.
Bottom line: This was a clearly above-plan quarter that strengthens A10’s AI-networking growth story while also showing better operating leverage. The long-term targets add upside to the narrative, but the immediate evidence is the earnings beat and margin expansion—not yet proof that the 2029 plan is secured.
