Artivion, Inc. (AORT) · Nov 5, 2026 · Earnings
Mixed — Revenue $123.8M vs ~$121.0M consensus; adjusted EPS $0.08 vs $0.16 prior year
Artivion earnings showed solid 9% constant-currency growth and a revenue beat, but lower adjusted EPS, negative free cash flow, and unchanged guidance weaken the read.
Artivion is in the middle of an aortic-portfolio expansion: it is integrating Endospan, preparing the U.S. launch of NEXUS in January 2027, and building adoption for newly approved AMDS while its core On-X and stent-graft businesses fund the transition. Earlier company materials framed Endospan and the aortic-arch portfolio as major growth drivers, with NEXUS commercialization expected in 2027.
Revenue execution was better than the published bar, but not dramatically so. Third-quarter revenue of $123.8 million exceeded the roughly $121.0 million consensus, while constant-currency growth reached 9%. Growth was concentrated in the areas Artivion needs to scale: On-X rose 13% and aortic stent grafts rose 12% in constant currency. 〔0〕

The earnings quality was weaker than the headline growth. GAAP loss per share of $0.16 was below the approximately $0.06 loss expected, and adjusted EPS fell to $0.08 from $0.16 a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA also declined despite the revenue increase, reflecting the cost of integrating Endospan and broader business-development spending.
Cash conversion is the main complication. Nine-month operating cash flow was negative $4.7 million versus positive $20.3 million a year earlier, while free cash flow swung to negative $36.4 million. The Endospan acquisition and higher capital spending explain much of the investment burden, but the result is that Artivion is financing expansion while carrying materially more debt: long-term debt rose to $363.8 million from $215.1 million at year-end, while cash fell to $48.4 million. This does not overturn the growth story, but it makes execution and integration more important.
The forward outlook was stabilized, not upgraded. Artivion tightened the revenue and adjusted-EBITDA ranges, but both guide midpoints remain unchanged from the prior outlook. That makes this confirmation of the existing plan rather than a new upside signal.
The strategic pipeline is progressing, but the payoff remains ahead. Management said U.S. AMDS implants increased sequentially, NEXUS preparations remain on schedule, and the ARTIZEN trial is enrolling as planned. 〔1〕 Those developments support the longer-term aortic-arch strategy, but they do not yet offset the near-term earnings dilution and cash demands visible in this quarter.
Bottom line: Artivion is executing on revenue and its aortic pipeline, but the quarter delivered weaker profitability and cash generation without raising the outlook. The business story is advancing, but this filing is a modest step backward on near-term financial quality rather than a clean beat.
