Arcturus Therapeutics Holdings Inc. (ARCT) · Nov 5, 2026 · Earnings
Beat — EPS $(0.26) vs ~$(0.60) consensus; revenue $18.3M vs ~$8.0M
Arcturus earnings beat Q3 estimates, helped by a one-time CSL payment. Cash remains adequate, but the pipeline story is largely unchanged.
Arcturus is a clinical-stage mRNA company shifting its center of gravity toward rare-disease programs, led by ARCT-032 in cystic fibrosis, ARCT-810 in OTC deficiency, and the newer LUNAR 2.0 platform. Before this filing, ARCT-810’s interim data and LUNAR 2.0’s platform claims were already public, while the key unresolved near-term question was whether ARCT-032 would advance toward Phase 3 in Q4 2026.
The quarter beat the published financial bar, but not with clean recurring revenue. Q3 revenue of $18.3 million exceeded the roughly $8.0 million consensus, and the $0.26 per-share loss was better than the roughly $0.60 expected loss. The accounting benefit was largely tied to the $12.0 million CSL Seqirus termination payment and recognition of remaining deferred revenue, rather than a broad acceleration in the underlying business.

*December 31, 2025 comparison.
The financial discipline is real, but it reflects a smaller operating footprint. R&D spending fell to $17.0 million from $23.3 million as Arcturus reduced clinical, manufacturing, personnel, and facilities costs while concentrating resources on its highest-priority programs. That helped narrow the quarterly loss, but the nine-month net loss still widened to $58.2 million from $36.7 million because last year included substantially more collaboration and grant revenue.
The pipeline story is more confirmed than changed. Management reiterated encouraging ARCT-810 results, the 38-fold preclinical LUNAR 2.0 comparison, and future ARCT-2601 and CF milestones, but those central clinical and platform developments were already disclosed in September rather than newly established by this earnings filing.
Cash supports execution for now, though the burn remains material. Cash fell $46.1 million from year-end to $184.8 million, despite the CSL payment; management says the balance provides more than two years of runway through year-end 2028. 〔0〕
Bottom line: This is a narrow earnings beat with adequate funding, but the revenue upside is mostly one-time and the pipeline thesis is largely unchanged. The next meaningful business test is whether ARCT-032 advances into Phase 3 later in 2026.
