Miss — Revenue $37.7M vs ~$41.99M consensus; EPS $(0.36) vs ~$(0.31)
ARS Pharma’s Q3 earnings show a revenue miss against consensus, offset by better EPS, targeted neffy share gains and lower spending.
ARS Pharma is in the middle of a commercial reset: after spending heavily on broad consumer advertising, it is concentrating sales efforts on high-value prescribers while trying to build neffy into a cash-generating base that can fund the CSU pipeline. The August strategy already established that direction, including a focus on accounts representing 44% of the U.S. opportunity and a path to cash-flow breakeven by the end of 2027.
The quarter missed the financial bar even as the loss was better than expected. Revenue came in at $37.7 million, about 10% below the published consensus near $42.0 million, while EPS of $(0.36) was better than the roughly $(0.31) consensus. The net result is a revenue-led earnings miss, not a clean beat.
| Q3 2026 | Q3 2025 | Consensus | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Total revenue (Financial Results) | $37.7M (-) | $32.5M | $41.99M |
| Net loss per share (Statements of Operations) | $(0.36) | $(0.52) | $(0.31) |
| U.S. neffy product revenue (Commercial Highlights) | $33.4M (+6.7%) | $31.3M | |
| SG&A expense (Financial Results) | $43.5M (-41.8%) | $74.8M |
neffy execution is improving, but the growth rate is not yet clearing the market’s hurdle. U.S. product revenue rose only 6.7% year over year, yet the more targeted commercial data support management’s new playbook: overall share reached 5%, field-targeted accounts reached approximately 9% versus 6% a year ago, and non-targeted accounts were only 2%. 〔0〕 This suggests the sales force is working where deployed, but broad adoption and payer access remain the unresolved scaling problem rather than the immediate commercial evidence being uniformly weak.
The cost reset is real and materially improves the runway narrative. SG&A fell from $74.8 million to $43.5 million after the company stopped linear TV and broad consumer advertising, while total operating expenses were described as tracking within the second-half guidance range. That discipline supports the existing 2027 breakeven objective, but it also means the company is buying efficiency partly by narrowing its commercial investment while revenue growth remains modest.
The pipeline remains an important future catalyst, not a current offset to the miss. ARS-2 is still on schedule for interim Phase 2b data in the first quarter of 2027, offering a potential second use for the intranasal epinephrine platform in acute CSU flares.
Bottom line: This was a mixed quarter leaning negative: targeted neffy execution and sharply lower spending validate the reset, but revenue fell well short of consensus. The business is becoming more disciplined, not yet demonstrably faster-growing.
