Beat — Adjusted EPS $0.37 vs ~$0.21 consensus
Lifetime Brands earnings beat revenue and adjusted EPS expectations, but the company cut full-year GAAP profit guidance while keeping adjusted targets unchanged.
Lifetime Brands is a branded kitchenware, tableware and home-products company trying to turn Project Concord, international growth and operational cleanup into durable earnings. Its prior quarter had already lifted full-year adjusted targets sharply, so this filing tests whether that improvement is holding; published Q3 expectations were roughly $0.21 of EPS and $173.96 million of revenue.
The quarter beat the published operating bar. Revenue reached $177.7 million versus approximately $174.0 million expected, while adjusted diluted EPS was $0.37 versus roughly $0.21 consensus. Adjusted operating income also rose to $13.8 million from $11.5 million a year earlier.

The more important change is the GAAP outlook cut. Lifetime raised the bottom of its sales range by $10 million, but reduced full-year GAAP operating income by $5.5 million at the midpoint, net income by $4 million, and diluted EPS by $0.19. Adjusted operating income, adjusted net income and adjusted EBITDA were all left unchanged, meaning the company is protecting its adjusted narrative while acknowledging more pressure in reported profitability.
The underlying quarter was less clean than the adjusted beat suggests. GAAP operating income was essentially break-even and the company posted a $4.2 million net loss, with the quarter absorbing $3.3 million of SKU-rationalization costs and $5.3 million of warehouse relocation and redesign costs. The adjusted figures improved, but a substantial portion of the improvement still depends on excluding restructuring and transition expenses.
The nine-month profit recovery is also heavily boosted by a one-time tariff refund. The company recorded a $40.1 million pre-tax tariff refund in the first nine months, so the sharp year-over-year swing to reported profit is not a clean read on recurring earnings power.
The larger buyback authorization adds a capital-allocation signal, not a new earnings driver. The board increased available repurchase capacity from approximately $11.1 million to $20 million, but the company held only $5.9 million of cash and carried $148.2 million across its revolver and term loan at quarter-end. That makes the authorization flexible rather than a commitment to spend the full amount immediately.
Bottom line: Lifetime beat the near-term adjusted earnings and revenue hurdle, but the GAAP guidance cut shows the turnaround still carries real execution and cost pressure. The filing is therefore mixed with a slightly negative tilt: better quarter, weaker quality and lower reported-profit expectations ahead, while the adjusted targets remain intact.
