Beat — Revenue $63.5M vs ~$51.2M consensus; EPS $0.04 vs ~$0.03
Cronos earnings beat Q3 revenue expectations as Germany, Israel and Canadian brands powered record sales and Adjusted EBITDA growth.
Cronos is shifting from a Canada-heavy cannabis operator toward a branded, international platform: Spinach is gaining share at home, Israel remains a steady growth engine, and Germany is becoming the main source of overseas expansion. The CanAdelaar acquisition, completed on October 15, 2026, also gives Cronos a foothold in the Netherlands’ regulated adult-use market and was already known before this earnings release.
The quarter clearly beat the published bar. Q3 revenue reached $63.5 million versus a published consensus of roughly $51.2 million, while diluted EPS was $0.04 versus roughly $0.03 expected.
| Q3 2026 | Q3 2025 | Consensus | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Net revenue (Financial Highlights) | $63.5M (+75%) | $36.3M | ~$51.2M |
| Gross margin (Financial Highlights) | 50.9% (+0.5 pp) | 50.4% | |
| Adjusted EBITDA (Financial Highlights) | $17.1M (+201%) | $5.7M | |
| Diluted EPS (Income Statement) | $0.04 | $0.07 | ~$0.03 |
| Cash, investments and deposits (Financial Highlights) | $840.6M (+2%) | $824.2M |
This was a genuine operating improvement, not just a currency or accounting story. Constant-currency revenue still grew 73%, and constant-currency Adjusted EBITDA rose 187%, showing that the underlying business accelerated even after stripping out foreign-exchange effects. Management said, “Net revenue of $63.5 million in Q3 2026 increased by $27.1 million from Q3 2025.”
International sales are now doing meaningful work in the model. Revenue outside Canada and Israel rose 614% year over year, led by Germany, while Israel delivered its eleventh consecutive record-revenue quarter. That mix matters because these markets carry no Canadian excise-tax burden, helping lift gross margin even as operating expenses rose. The filing states, “Cronos continued to generate strong growth internationally in Q3 2026, with the Company’s international business ex-Israel delivering record net revenue, increasing 614% year-over-year.” 〔0〕
Profit quality improved, although reported net income is noisy. Adjusted EBITDA more than tripled to $17.1 million, and operating income turned positive at $9.0 million from a $0.5 million loss. GAAP net income fell to $17.8 million from $28.3 million because the prior-year quarter benefited from unusually large foreign-currency and other gains; that decline does not offset the much stronger core operating result. Management attributed the EBITDA improvement primarily to higher gross profit, partly offset by higher sales and administrative spending.
The balance sheet still supports the expansion, but capital is being redeployed. Total cash, short-term investments and interest-bearing deposits were $840.6 million at quarter-end, broadly stable year to date despite $42.3 million of share repurchases and the October CanAdelaar transaction. The headline cash balance declined because funds were shifted into investments and deposits, not because liquidity disappeared. The company also reduced shares outstanding to 367.5 million from 381.6 million at year-end.
Bottom line: This was materially better than the market’s operating expectations and strengthens Cronos’s growth story, particularly outside Canada. The key change is that international expansion is beginning to show up in both scale and profitability, while the newly completed Dutch acquisition adds a second growth platform still awaiting proof of integration.
