In line — Revenue $244.7M vs ~$245.1M consensus; adjusted EBITDA $28.6M vs $26–28M guide
Warby Parker’s Q3 earnings showed in-range revenue and better-than-guided adjusted EBITDA, but EPS missed consensus as Intelligent Eyewear investments build.
Warby Parker is in an investment-heavy expansion phase: adding stores, building eye-care services, and preparing to launch its first Intelligent Eyewear collection while maintaining roughly 10% revenue growth. Before this release, management had guided Q3 revenue to $243–246 million and adjusted EBITDA to $26–28 million, while reaffirming full-year revenue of $959–976 million and adjusted EBITDA of $117–119 million.
The core quarter was broadly on track, not a clean beat. Revenue rose 10.4% year over year to $244.7 million, essentially matching the published consensus of about $245.1 million and landing inside management’s prior range. Adjusted EBITDA of $28.6 million exceeded the $26–28 million quarterly guide, but diluted EPS of $0.04 was well below the roughly $0.095 consensus. The result therefore improves the operating-execution read without delivering a headline earnings beat. 〔0〕
| Figure | Q3 2026 / 9M 2026 | Prior period | Benchmark |
|---|---|---|---|
| Net revenue (Income Statement) | $244.7M (+10.4%) | $221.7M | ~$245.1M consensus |
| Adjusted EBITDA (Adjusted EBITDA reconciliation) | $28.6M (+10.9%) | $25.7M | $26–28M guide |
| Diluted EPS (Income Statement) | $0.04 | $0.05 | ~$0.095 consensus |

The margin story is modestly better, but the investment burden remains visible. Gross margin improved to 54.4% from 54.1%, helped by lower tariffs, shipping savings, lab efficiencies, and greater lens-treatment penetration. Adjusted EBITDA margin also edged up to 11.7% from 11.6%, showing that Warby Parker is absorbing store and technology spending without losing operating leverage.
Cash generation is the main soft spot. Nine-month operating cash flow fell to $78.9 million from $87.5 million, while free cash flow dropped to $13.2 million from $35.6 million as capital spending rose to $65.7 million from $51.9 million. The balance sheet still provides room to fund the rollout, with $287.9 million of cash at September 30, but the company is converting less of its operating profit into free cash while stores and new technology are being built.
The next strategic test is now close and concrete. Warby Parker said pre-orders for its first Intelligent Eyewear collection begin November 12, with customer deliveries planned for the holiday season.
Bottom line: This was an operationally steady quarter with a small adjusted-EBITDA upside, but not a clean earnings win because EPS missed consensus and cash conversion weakened. The business remains on its planned growth path; Intelligent Eyewear now has to prove it can turn the investment cycle into incremental demand and profit.
Intelligent Eyewear pre-orders begin November 12
