InfuSystem earnings beat as wound care offsets GE revenue loss

Beat — Diluted EPS $0.15 vs ~$0.13 consensus; revenue $37.6M vs ~$37.39M

InfuSystem’s third-quarter earnings narrowly beat consensus as wound care and Oncology growth offset the ongoing GE contract revenue loss.

InfuSystem is in the middle of a profitable-growth transition: it is replacing revenue lost from the GE Healthcare contract restructuring with faster-growing Patient Services, especially Oncology and compression-focused Wound Care, while using the restructuring and ERP completion to improve margins. That direction was already established in prior 2026 updates, including unchanged full-year guidance for 6%–8% pro-forma revenue growth.

The quarter cleared the published benchmark, but only narrowly. Diluted EPS of $0.15 was above the roughly $0.13 consensus, while revenue of $37.6 million was modestly above the approximately $37.39 million estimate.

Patient Services is now doing the strategic heavy lifting. Patient Services revenue rose 15.4% to $25.8 million, led by Oncology growth of 7.2% and Wound Care growth of 112%; management specifically highlighted $2.0 million of incremental Wound Care revenue, including roughly $1.6 million from compression therapy. This is the clearest evidence that the company is building replacement growth rather than merely absorbing the GE setback.

The headline revenue growth understates the underlying recovery. Reported revenue increased only 3.0% because Device Solutions fell 16.6%, including the planned GE-related reduction. On a pro-forma basis, revenue growth was 10.2%, and biomedical services revenue excluding the restructuring grew 19.8%, suggesting the lost contract volume is being replaced, though not yet fully visible in reported revenue.

Profitability improved more than the top line, which is the important quality signal. Adjusted EBITDA rose 12.5% and margin expanded to 24.9% from 22.8%, helped by GE-related cost reductions, lower ERP spending and better Device Solutions gross margins. The tradeoff is that Patient Services margin fell 3.3 percentage points because the faster-growing Wound Care mix carries lower margins, so growth is improving but not uniformly high-margin.

Guidance was reaffirmed, not upgraded. Management kept its 2026 pro-forma revenue-growth target at 6%–8% and its low-to-mid-20% Adjusted EBITDA margin outlook. 〔0〕 That makes the quarter an execution beat, not a fundamental reset of the outlook.

Cash generation and balance-sheet flexibility improved, despite temporary ERP billing disruption. Nine-month operating cash flow rose to $18.1 million, cash increased to $9.1 million, and net debt fell to $10.6 million. The company also said roughly $1.3 million of the approximately $5.0 million ERP-related working-capital pressure had converted to cash by October, reducing concern that the billing issue reflects weaker demand.

Bottom line: This was a modest earnings beat that strengthens the existing InfuSystem story: Patient Services growth and better cost structure are replacing the GE revenue loss faster than reported revenue suggests. But with full-year guidance merely reaffirmed, the quarter advances the plan without changing its scale or direction.
