Beat — Non-GAAP EPS $3.51 vs ~$3.41 consensus; revenue $1.426B vs ~$1.42B
EPAM earnings modestly beat consensus and lifted 2026 EPS guidance, while revenue growth remains constrained and the AI transformation story is still early.
EPAM is in a gradual recovery: it is repositioning its engineering-services business around AI transformation and consulting while trying to rebuild growth after a weak demand period. Its prior outlook already called for improving profitability and roughly 2%-3% organic constant-currency growth for 2026.
The quarter cleared a modest bar. Third-quarter non-GAAP diluted EPS was $3.51 versus published consensus of roughly $3.41, while revenue was $1.426 billion versus about $1.42 billion expected. Revenue grew only 2.3% reported and 2.5% organically in constant currency, so the beat came more from profitability than from a demand reacceleration.
| Figure | Q3 2026 | Q3 2025 | Consensus / prior guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue (Financial Statements) | $1.426B (+2.3%) | $1.394B | ~$1.42B consensus |
| Non-GAAP diluted EPS (Non-GAAP reconciliation) | $3.51 (+13.9%) | $3.08 | ~$3.41 consensus |
| GAAP operating margin (Financial Statements) | 12.3% | 10.4% | — |
| Non-GAAP operating margin (Non-GAAP reconciliation) | 16.7% | 16.0% | — |
| FY revenue growth (Guidance) | 3.5%-3.7% | — | 3.2%-4.2% prior guide |
| FY organic constant-currency growth (Guidance) | 2.5%-2.7% | — | 2.0%-3.0% prior guide |
| FY non-GAAP diluted EPS (Guidance) | $13.23-$13.31 | — | $13.08-$13.24 prior guide |
Profitability is the clearest improvement. GAAP operating margin expanded to 12.3% from 10.4%, and non-GAAP margin reached 16.7% from 16.0%; that is meaningful progress for a services company still producing limited top-line growth. The filing also shows cost-optimization charges falling to zero in the quarter from $11.0 million a year earlier, although stock compensation and other adjustments remain part of the non-GAAP bridge.
Management raised the earnings outlook, but not because growth suddenly broke out. Full-year non-GAAP EPS is now guided to $13.23-$13.31, above the prior $13.08-$13.24 range, while the organic constant-currency revenue outlook moved to 2.5%-2.7% from 2.0%-3.0%. The midpoint improved, but the narrower range still describes a low-growth business; the AI-native and transformation strategy is gaining traction in positioning, not yet showing up as a major revenue acceleration.
Capital return became more aggressive, but it is secondary to the operating read. EPAM repurchased approximately $489 million through nine months, plans a $500 million accelerated share repurchase in the week of November 9, 2026, and replaced its remaining authorization with a new program of up to $1.8 billion through December 31, 2029. That supports per-share results and signals balance-sheet confidence, but it does not solve the underlying issue that revenue growth remains modest.
Bottom line: EPAM delivered a real but limited earnings beat, with margin expansion and higher EPS guidance doing most of the work. The business is advancing operationally, but this filing strengthens the recovery story rather than rewriting it: AI momentum has not yet translated into strong top-line growth.̀
