In line — Revenue $32.24M vs ~$31.13M consensus; GAAP EPS $0.06 vs ~$0.08 consensus
DHI Group earnings show ClearanceJobs accelerating and cash flow improving, but Dice remains weak and full-year revenue guidance narrows lower.
DHI is rebuilding around two specialized talent marketplaces: ClearanceJobs is benefiting from defense and cleared-tech demand, while Dice is being modernized for AI-driven technology hiring but remains under pressure from weak enterprise recruiting budgets. That split was already visible in the second-quarter release, which showed strong ClearanceJobs growth, declining Dice revenue, and a higher Dice margin outlook.
The quarter was operationally mixed, not a clean beat. Revenue of $32.24 million exceeded the published ~$31.13 million consensus, while GAAP diluted EPS of $0.06 was below the roughly $0.08 expectation; non-GAAP EPS of $0.10 was better than the consensus comparison. ClearanceJobs delivered the real upside, with revenue up 18% and bookings up 32%, while Dice revenue fell 13%.
| Q3 2026 | Q3 2025 | Consensus | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue (Financial Highlights) | $32.24M (+0.4%) | $32.12M | ~$31.13M |
| GAAP diluted EPS (Income Statement) | $0.06 | $(0.10) | ~$0.08 |
| Non-GAAP EPS (Non-GAAP EPS) | $0.10 (+11%) | $0.09 | ~$0.08 |
| ClearanceJobs revenue (Revenue) | $16.51M (+18%) | $13.94M | |
| Dice revenue (Revenue) | $15.73M (-13%) | $18.19M | |
| Adjusted EBITDA (Financial Highlights) | $8.91M (-13%) | $10.27M | |
| Free cash flow (Free Cash Flow) | $5.31M (+67%) | $3.17M |
ClearanceJobs is now the growth engine, with unusually strong leading indicators. Its bookings rose 32% year over year, new-business bookings reached a record for the platform, and revenue renewal improved to 93% from 85%. That is more meaningful than the headline revenue beat because bookings are the committed demand that should convert into revenue over the next 12 months.
Dice is stabilizing, but has not yet returned to growth. Its bookings decline narrowed to 9% from 14% in the second quarter, and customer economics held up better on revenue per recruitment package customer, but Dice revenue still fell 13% and renewal rates weakened to 67% on revenue and 58% on customer count. The recovery remains a work in progress rather than a completed turnaround.
The guidance change improves profitability expectations while quietly lowering the sales ceiling. Full-year DHI Adjusted EBITDA margin guidance rose to 26% from 25%, and Dice rose to 25% from 24%, but full-year revenue guidance narrowed from $124–$128 million to $124–$126 million. That combination says management expects better cost control and mix, not a stronger top-line recovery; backlog was also down 12% from year-end and 7% year over year.
Cash generation gives the transition room to continue. Operating cash flow rose 51% to $7.2 million and free cash flow rose 67% to $5.3 million, allowing DHI to repay $2 million of debt and repurchase about $3.8 million of stock during the quarter. That supports the balance sheet, although Adjusted EBITDA declined 13% and cash remained modest at $3.2 million.
Bottom line: DHI is making real progress where it matters most—ClearanceJobs—and converting earnings into cash, but Dice is still shrinking and the lower revenue ceiling limits the upside. This advances the turnaround modestly, without rewriting the company’s overall story.
