Beat — Revenue $342.3M vs ~$332.6M consensus; diluted EPS $0.31 vs ~$0.20
Acadia earnings beat Q3 revenue and EPS expectations, while DAYBUE guidance rose again. The commercial engine is strengthening, but RADIANT still needs proof.
Acadia is a commercial-stage neurological and rare-disease company using growing DAYBUE and NUPLAZID sales to fund a pipeline led by remlifanserin in Alzheimer’s disease psychosis and Lewy body dementia psychosis. The quarter strengthens that commercial foundation, while the pipeline remains a future-growth option rather than a proven new growth engine.
The quarter beat the market’s operating expectations. Revenue reached $342.3 million versus published consensus of about $332.6 million, while diluted EPS was $0.31 versus roughly $0.20 expected. The beat was driven by both franchises: DAYBUE sales rose 39% year over year to $140.1 million, and NUPLAZID sales increased 12% on the company’s adjusted comparison.

|---|---|---|---|
| Total revenue (Financial Results) | $342.3M (+22%) | $278.6M | ~$332.6M consensus |

| NUPLAZID sales (Table 1) | $202.2M (+12% adj.) | $179.8M adj. | — |
| Diluted EPS (Statements of Operations) | $0.31 | $0.42 | ~$0.20 consensus |
| 2026 DAYBUE guide (Financial Guidance) | $505M–$520M | — | $480M–$510M prior guide |
| 2026 total revenue guide (Financial Guidance) | $1.265B–$1.295B | — | $1.24B–$1.30B prior guide |
DAYBUE is the clearest positive change. The company raised its 2026 DAYBUE sales range by lifting both ends, suggesting uptake of the newer STIX formulation is translating into a better near-term commercial trajectory. The total-revenue range also tightened, although its midpoint moved only modestly higher because the NUPLAZID range was narrowed downward at the top end.
Profitability improved operationally, even though reported net income fell. Operating income rose to $71.7 million from $35.8 million as revenue growth and lower R&D spending more than offset higher SG&A, but net income declined to $53.5 million from $71.8 million because the prior-year quarter benefited from a tax benefit while this quarter recorded tax expense. The lower full-year R&D outlook also gives Acadia more room to fund its pipeline, though it partly reflects timing rather than a fundamental change in development ambition.
The pipeline update is supportive but not wholly new. Acadia is reiterating the RADIANT remlifanserin program and pointing investors to detailed data on November 17; the underlying September topline disclosure had already said the study narrowly missed its primary endpoint while showing a positive secondary-endpoint signal and favorable tolerability. That makes this filing more of a confirmation and catalyst-setting event than a fresh clinical breakthrough.
Bottom line: This is a meaningful execution beat with another DAYBUE upgrade, strengthening Acadia’s commercial story and funding capacity. It does not yet rewrite the longer-term pipeline story, which still depends on fuller RADIANT data and future Phase 2 readouts.
