Progyny earnings beat estimates as full-year guidance midpoint rises

Beat — Diluted EPS $0.32 vs ~$0.31 consensus; FY adjusted EPS midpoint raised to $2.11 from $2.07

Progyny’s Q3 earnings modestly beat expectations, with better gross margins and a higher 2026 guidance midpoint offset by softer EBITDA margin.

Progyny is scaling an employer fertility and broader women’s-health benefits platform: it had more than 600 clients and roughly 7.2 million covered lives by June 30, 2026, while expanding beyond fertility into pregnancy, menopause and family support.

The quarter cleared the market’s bar, but only narrowly. Revenue was $341.3 million versus a published consensus of about $340.8 million, while diluted EPS was $0.32 versus roughly $0.31 expected. Revenue grew 8.9%, and gross profit rose 15% as gross margin expanded to 24.5% from 23.2%; the filing attributes that improvement partly to delivery efficiencies and lower stock-based compensation.

The more important change is the modestly higher outlook. Progyny raised the midpoint of full-year revenue guidance by $2.5 million, adjusted EPS by $0.04 and adjusted EBITDA by $1 million after nine-month execution. 〔0〕 〔1〕 That supports the existing growth story, but it is an incremental upgrade rather than a reset of expectations.

Underlying demand looks healthy, while profitability is being partly reinvested. Average members increased 6.2%, ART cycles rose 4.6%, and female utilization edged up to 0.49% from 0.47%. Adjusted EBITDA still grew 6.3%, but its margin fell to 17.1% from 17.5% because platform investments absorbed part of the gross-profit improvement.

The capital return is meaningful but not the core earnings signal. Progyny repurchased nearly 3 million shares for $82.7 million in the quarter and has bought back nearly 11 million shares in 2026, while retaining no debt and approximately $195.6 million in cash and marketable securities. This supports per-share results, but the business takeaway remains steady execution and a slightly better outlook, not a change in the company’s overall trajectory.

Bottom line: Progyny delivered a small earnings beat and a modest guidance upgrade, reinforcing that demand and margins are holding up. The signal is constructive, but the improvement is incremental rather than story-changing.
