Stabilis Solutions, Inc. (SLNG) · Nov 4, 2026 · Earnings
In line — EPS $0.01 vs ~-$0.01 consensus; revenue $14.84M vs ~$15.36M
Stabilis earnings show sequential recovery and a return to profit, but Q3 revenue missed consensus and profitability remains below last year.
Stabilis is rebuilding after large marine and power-generation contracts rolled off, with its next growth leg centered on a roughly $200 million multi-year data-center LNG contract beginning in 2027 and a proposed Galveston LNG project. That strategy was already known before this release; this quarter mainly tests whether the recovery is arriving on schedule.
Sequential recovery arrived, but the quarter was not a clean beat. Revenue rose 25% from Q2 to $14.8 million as the short-term data-center contract contributed, and diluted EPS turned positive at $0.01. However, revenue was below the published consensus of roughly $15.36 million, while the EPS beat came against a very low loss expectation rather than strong absolute earnings. The company itself characterized results as expected:
| Q3 2026 | Q2 2026 | Q3 2025 | Consensus | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue (Financial results) | $14.84M (+24.5%) | $11.92M | $20.33M | $15.36M |
| Diluted EPS (Financial results) | $0.01 | -$0.25 | $0.06 | -$0.01 |
| Adjusted EBITDA (Reconciliation) | $1.95M | $0.10M | $2.90M | |
| Operating cash flow (Cash flow statement) | $3.88M | $7.07M | $2.39M |
The underlying business is improving sequentially, not yet restored year over year. Revenue remained 27% below Q3 2025 and Adjusted EBITDA fell to $1.9 million from $2.9 million, reflecting the lost contribution from the contracts completed in late 2025. The return to positive net income is therefore more a normalization from the unusually weak second quarter—when vessel charter costs hit $2.9 million—than evidence that the prior earnings base has been rebuilt.
Cash generation was helped by customer financing, not just operating profitability. Operating cash flow was $3.9 million, but the filing says the quarter included a $5.0 million advance payment tied to the contract expected to begin in early 2027. That advance supports the required project investment and reduces near-term funding pressure, but it should not be read as recurring quarterly cash earnings.
The forward story is intact, but this release does not materially strengthen it. Aerospace revenue grew 49% year over year, and work on the large 2027 data-center contract remains on track, but both were already part of the standing story. The new information is that Q3 moved back into profit while still falling short on revenue and remaining below last year's Adjusted EBITDA. Bottom line: This is a sequential repair quarter, not a decisive inflection: Stabilis is moving in the right direction, but the results do not yet prove that the 2027 growth setup is translating into sustained current earnings.
2027 data-center contract launch, expected in Q1 2027
