In line — Revenue $78.0M vs ~$77.6M consensus; Adjusted EBITDA $1.2M
Evolus earnings show revenue slightly ahead of consensus, a fourth positive Adjusted EBITDA quarter, and lower 2026 operating-expense guidance despite ongoing GAAP losses.
Evolus is transitioning from a Jeuveau-led aesthetics company into a broader injectable platform, adding HA gels and future categories such as skin quality and hair-growth treatments. Its prior setup already included three consecutive quarters of positive Adjusted EBITDA and raised 2026 guidance, so this report mainly tests whether that operating transition is holding.
The quarter was operationally solid, but not a clean earnings beat. Revenue of $78.0 million was modestly above the published consensus of roughly $77.6 million, while GAAP EPS of $(0.19) was materially worse than the roughly $(0.05) consensus. The core operating picture was better than the GAAP loss suggests: Adjusted EBITDA turned positive at $1.2 million versus $(3.1) million a year earlier, marking the fourth consecutive positive quarter.
| Q3 2026 | Q3 2025 | Consensus | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Total net revenue (Financial Highlights) | $78.0M (+13%) | $69.0M | ~$77.6M |
| GAAP EPS (Income Statement) | $(0.19) | $(0.24) | ~$(0.05) |
| Adjusted EBITDA (Adjusted EBITDA reconciliation) | $1.2M | $(3.1M) | |
| Adjusted EBITDA margin (Adjusted EBITDA reconciliation) | 1.5% | (4.5%) | |
| Adjusted gross margin (Gross Profit reconciliation) | 66.1% | 67.6% | |
| Non-GAAP operating expense (Operating Expense reconciliation) | $50.3M | $49.7M |
Growth is becoming more diversified, though the margin mix is less favorable. Global toxin revenue reached $70.1 million, up approximately 11%, while HA gel revenue rose nearly 40% to $7.9 million. That supports the strategic shift beyond Jeuveau, but the faster-growing HA portfolio and related mix helped push adjusted gross margin down to 66.1% from 67.6%.
Management strengthened the near-term cost outlook without raising the growth outlook. Full-year revenue guidance remains $330 million to $337 million, and the low- to mid-single-digit Adjusted EBITDA-margin outlook remains intact. The meaningful change is non-GAAP operating-expense guidance, reduced to $210 million to $213 million from $212 million to $216 million. That is a modest execution improvement, not a reset of the growth story.
The balance sheet still limits how aggressively Evolus can invest. Cash declined to $41.7 million from $45.2 million at the end of June, while inventory rose sharply to $82.8 million from $27.0 million at year-end as the company pulled forward Jeuveau supply. Management cites approximately $120 million of additional non-dilutive capacity, but the business remains loss-making on a GAAP basis and carries $156.9 million of long-term debt.
Bottom line: Evolus is executing the commercial and profitability transition it had already promised, with revenue slightly ahead and costs better controlled. The weaker GAAP EPS and lower margin keep this closer to an in-line quarter than a decisive upside surprise, but the underlying business story remains modestly improved.
