Beat — Revenue $391.4M vs ~$362.4M consensus and $374M prior-guide midpoint
Figma earnings beat Q3 guidance by a wide margin, with AI adoption accelerating and full-year revenue and operating-income outlook raised.
Figma is moving from a collaborative design tool toward an AI-enabled platform connecting design, code, agents, and production workflows. Before this report, Q3 revenue was guided to $373–$375 million and full-year revenue to $1.463–$1.467 billion, while AI adoption and customer expansion were already established parts of the story.
| Metric | Q3 2026 | Q3 2025 | Consensus / prior guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue (Financial statements) | $391.4M (+42.8%) | $274.2M | ~$362.4M / $373–375M |
| GAAP gross margin (Non-GAAP reconciliations) | 80% | 69% | |
| Non-GAAP operating income (Non-GAAP reconciliations) | $47.0M | $34.0M | |
| Free cash flow (Cash flow reconciliation) | $41.5M (-15.4%) | $49.0M | |
| Free cash flow margin (Cash flow reconciliation) | 11% | 18% |
The quarter materially beat the operating bar. Revenue of $391.4 million was about $17 million above the top of the prior Q3 guide and roughly $29 million above the published consensus, while growth accelerated to 43% year over year. 〔0〕
The AI strategy is beginning to show usage traction rather than just product-launch momentum. Figma said its MCP server was the fastest-growing product by weekly active users, with total usage tripling sequentially and write-back usage quadrupling. That matters because MCP and Code Layers extend Figma from a place to design into a workflow where AI agents and working code interact with the canvas.
Figma also converted the revenue beat into a broader outlook raise. Management raised both full-year revenue and non-GAAP operating-income expectations, citing larger customer commitments, expanding AI-credit usage, and improving AI cost efficiency. The filing does not provide the new numerical ranges, so the magnitude of the raise cannot be independently scored from this release alone.
The main offset is weaker cash-flow conversion. Free cash flow fell to $41.5 million from $49.0 million despite much higher revenue, pulling the margin down to 11% from 18%. GAAP operating losses also remained substantial, and stock-based compensation was $158.6 million in the quarter, so the improved non-GAAP profitability is not the same as GAAP earnings turning positive.
Bottom line: This is a clear execution beat that strengthens Figma’s AI-expansion story and supports a higher full-year outlook. The business is advancing faster than expected, though cash-flow conversion and heavy stock compensation remain meaningful qualifiers.
