Beat — Adjusted EPS $2.34 vs ~$1.89 consensus
SharkNinja’s Q3 earnings beat expectations and full-year guidance rose, though tariff refunds make the margin improvement less clean.
SharkNinja is an expanding global consumer-appliance platform, using the Shark and Ninja brands to enter more household categories and sell through retail, e-commerce, distributors, and direct-to-consumer channels. Its latest public operating profile described 39 active sub-categories and a 40th entered in July 2026, making continued innovation and international expansion central to the story.
The quarter clearly cleared the market’s bar. Q3 revenue reached $1.98 billion, ahead of the published ~$1.87 billion consensus, while adjusted diluted EPS was $2.34 versus ~$1.89 expected. The beat was supported by broad demand rather than one isolated product: Cooking and Beverage Appliances grew 36.6%, Beauty and Home Environment grew 45.8%, and international sales rose 25.2%. The filing says, “Q3 net sales grew 21.2%, marking our second consecutive quarter above 20% and our 14th consecutive quarter of double-digit growth.”
| Q3 2026 | Q3 2025 | Benchmark | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Net sales (Statements of Income) | $1,976.4M (+21.2%) | $1,630.2M | ~$1,870M consensus |
| Adjusted diluted EPS (Adjusted Net Income reconciliation) | $2.34 (+56.0%) | $1.50 | ~$1.89 consensus |
| FY adjusted diluted EPS guide (Outlook) | $6.65–$6.75 | $5.28 | $6.45–$6.55 prior guide |
| FY adjusted EBITDA guide (Outlook) | $1,380M–$1,391M | $1,137M | $1,357M–$1,369M prior guide |
Guidance was raised again, extending an already strong execution trend. The prior outlook had already been lifted in August after Q2’s 22.2% sales growth, so a higher full-year range was not a complete surprise. Still, the new EPS range is $0.20 above the previous midpoint and the EBITDA range is $22.5 million above its previous midpoint. The filing states, “Adjusted Net Income per diluted share between $6.65 and $6.75,” confirming that management sees enough operating momentum to raise expectations again.
The headline margin improvement is partly a tariff refund effect, not pure operating leverage. GAAP gross margin jumped to 59.2% from 50.1%, but the quarter included a $243.8 million IEEPA duty refund benefit, partly offset by $45.2 million payable to factory partners. Even adjusted gross margin benefited from $134.3 million tied to refunds of duties expensed in 2026. That makes the reported profitability surge less representative of a normal quarter, although the company also cited cost optimization and favorable category and channel mix. The refund is cash-generating, but it is not a repeatable product-demand benefit.
Cash conversion is the main offset to the earnings strength. Nine-month operating cash flow was only $107.4 million despite $589.6 million of net income, as accounts receivable, inventories, and prepaid assets consumed substantial cash. Inventory rose to $1.43 billion from $1.00 billion at year-end, while the company also spent $169.7 million on share repurchases. The filing says, “As of September 30, 2026, the Company had cash and cash equivalents of $487.8 million and available capacity under its revolving credit facility of $495.3 million.”
Bottom line: This was a genuine earnings beat with another guidance raise, strengthening SharkNinja’s growth-and-share-gain story. The result is clearly positive, but the exceptional margin numbers overstate the underlying quarter because tariff refunds supplied a meaningful portion of the profit lift, while cash conversion remains weak. تج
