Reynolds Consumer Products Inc. (REYN) · Nov 4, 2026 · Earnings
Beat — Adjusted EPS $0.39 vs ~$0.38 consensus; revenue $944M vs ~$939M
Reynolds Consumer Products earnings narrowly beat Q3 estimates, while 7% lower retail volumes and weaker EBITDA kept the outlook unchanged.
Reynolds Consumer Products is a household-essentials maker navigating commodity inflation and softer consumer volumes, using pricing and productivity savings to protect profitability while continuing to invest in its brands and manufacturing footprint. Its prior outlook already called for roughly flat Q3 revenue, adjusted EPS of $0.37–$0.39, and full-year adjusted EPS of $1.57–$1.63.
The quarter was a narrow earnings beat, not a clean operating acceleration. Adjusted EPS of $0.39 landed at the top of management’s range and slightly above the published consensus of roughly $0.38, while revenue of $944 million exceeded the roughly $939 million estimate. The beat is modest, and it came despite a meaningful demand setback: retail volumes fell 7% year over year. The company said adjusted EBITDA declined $5 million, primarily because of lower retail volumes and higher SG&A spending.
| Metric | Q3 2026 | Q3 2025 | Consensus / prior outlook |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue (Financial Statements) | $944M (+1.4%) | $931M | ~$939M |
| Adjusted EPS (EPS Reconciliation) | $0.39 | $0.42 | ~$0.38 |
| Adjusted EBITDA (EBITDA Reconciliation) | $163M (-3.0%) | $168M | ~$162.5M |
| Retail volume (Price/Volume/Mix) | -7% | — | — |
The full-year framework is essentially intact, but the quality of earnings is under pressure. Revenue growth of 1%–3%, adjusted EPS of $1.57–$1.63, and adjusted EBITDA of $660 million–$675 million were reiterated. GAAP net-income guidance was lowered to $307 million–$320 million because of the environmental remediation reserve and other adjustments, while adjusted net-income guidance moved slightly higher to $332 million–$345 million. 〔0〕
The new acquisition adds strategic scope but also uses debt during a weak-volume quarter. Reynolds completed the $110 million cash acquisition of Owl’s Head Alloys after quarter-end, funded with revolver borrowings; the deal adds aluminum-processing capability and supports vertical integration. Leverage was still described as near the low end of the target range, but net debt rose to $1.506 billion and leverage increased to 2.2x from 2.1x at year-end.
Bottom line: Reynolds modestly beat a low bar, but the underlying picture is mixed: pricing and productivity are offsetting sharply lower volumes rather than creating broad-based growth. The unchanged adjusted outlook keeps the existing story intact, while the OHA deal modestly expands the platform and adds balance-sheet commitments.
