ACM Research COO hire adds ASML veteran for Oregon expansion

ASML veteran COO

ACM Research’s new COO brings ASML experience as the company builds Oregon operations for its push into global semiconductor markets.

ACM Research is expanding beyond its China-heavy operating base, using new Oregon capabilities to support global semiconductor customers and product demonstrations. Management recently said its Oregon demo center was on track to begin operating in late 2026, while raising fiscal 2026 revenue guidance to $1.125 billion–$1.175 billion.

This hire adds relevant operating expertise to that expansion. Yue Ma spent 2014–2026 at ASML, most recently as a technical expert, and will serve as chief operations officer from the company’s Oregon facility. 〔0〕

The signal is strategic, not financial. The appointment gives ACM a senior semiconductor-equipment operator as its U.S. infrastructure moves toward execution, but the filing adds no customer win, production target, revenue commitment, or guidance change. The employment package is also meaningful—$375,000 base salary, $100,000 target bonus, a 100,000-share option, 13,470 RSUs, a $50,000 sign-on bonus, and relocation benefits capped at $150,000—so the company is making a real investment, though the awards vest over time. 〔1〕

Most of the event was planned before this filing. The offer letter was signed in May, amended in August, and specified an October 1 start date; the November 3 filing mainly confirms that the planned hire occurred. That makes this a modest reinforcement of ACM’s global-expansion story rather than a new change in its commercial outlook.

Bottom line: ACM has added credible ASML operating talent at the point its Oregon build-out is becoming operational. That modestly strengthens execution capacity, but it does not yet change the company’s growth story without evidence of customer adoption or financial contribution. The next concrete checkpoint is the Q3 2026 earnings report, scheduled for November 5.
