Beat — Non-GAAP EPS $1.28 vs ~$1.27 consensus; revenue $1.046B vs ~$1.04B
Skyworks earnings narrowly beat Q4 expectations, while its first Qorvo-inclusive guidance points to modest near-term revenue pressure and gradual synergy delivery.
Skyworks is entering its first operating quarter as the combined Skyworks-Qorvo RF, power and timing chipmaker, using the merger to diversify beyond smartphones into data centers, defense, automotive and connected-edge applications. The Qorvo combination itself was already public and closed on October 5, 2026, with management previously targeting at least $500 million of annual cost synergies over 24–36 months.
The standalone quarter beat a low bar, but underlying earnings weakened. Revenue of $1.046 billion was slightly above the published consensus of roughly $1.04 billion, and non-GAAP diluted EPS of $1.28 narrowly exceeded the roughly $1.27 consensus. However, revenue fell 5.0% year over year, non-GAAP operating margin declined to 21.7% from 24.0%, and non-GAAP EPS dropped from $1.76 to $1.28. The beat is therefore real but modest, not evidence of a broad acceleration.

| Revenue (Income Statement) | $1,045.7M (-5.0%) | $1,100.2M | $1,040M |
| Non-GAAP diluted EPS (Non-GAAP Reconciliation) | $1.28 (-27.3%) | $1.76 | $1.27 |
| Non-GAAP operating margin (Non-GAAP Reconciliation) | 21.7% (-2.3 pts) | 24.0% | |

The first combined-company outlook is more of a transition guide than a growth signal. December-quarter revenue is guided to $1.80–$1.90 billion, or $1.85 billion at the midpoint, with roughly $1.07 billion from legacy Skyworks and $780 million from legacy Qorvo. That midpoint is about 3% below combined September revenue after removing Qorvo’s extra reporting week, while the expected $1.25 non-GAAP EPS is burdened by approximately $50 million of acquisition-related interest expense.
Synergies are being phased in gradually, leaving execution as the main test. Management expects approximately $150 million of operating-expense synergies in fiscal 2027 and a $250–$300 million annualized run rate exiting that year, versus the longer-term $500 million-plus target. That supports the merger thesis, but most of the payoff remains ahead rather than visible in this quarter.
Cash generation and leverage are the less comfortable parts of the reset. Quarterly free cash flow was negative $61 million as capital spending rose and working capital absorbed cash; full-year operating cash flow fell to $549.9 million from $1.30 billion. Debt also increased to $2.47 billion from $996 million after roughly $2.0 billion of debt issuance to fund the combination, even though cash and marketable securities rose to $2.61 billion. The company reported favorable credit-rating actions, but the merged business now has less room for integration missteps.
Bottom line: This is a narrow earnings beat that modestly clears expectations, but the more important Qorvo transition begins with weaker standalone margins, negative quarterly free cash flow and a cautious first combined-company outlook. The event is slightly better than expected, yet the business story is still about proving the merger can convert scale into growth and synergies.
