In line — 31,150m Phase 2 drilling; site preparation remains on track for Q4 2026
Sinda’s earnings update shows continued drilling, initial decline earthworks and ample cash, but largely confirms the existing development plan.
Sinda is still a pre-revenue silver-gold exploration and development company, using its newly raised capital to convert the Caracol resource, test the Don Diego corridor and begin underground access in Mexico. Its prior quarter had already established the 122,000-meter Phase 2 program and the plan to advance decline construction, so this release is mainly an execution check rather than a change in strategy.
Execution was healthy, but not a fresh step-change. Sinda completed approximately 31,150 meters of Phase 2 drilling with 18 rigs, covering resource conversion, Agaves infill and Don Diego exploration. 〔0〕 That supports the existing development story, but the filing does not show a new resource estimate, a revised production plan or a quantified improvement to project economics.
The strongest technical signal is supportive, not yet transformative. The 3.05-meter intercept grading 12,494 g/t AgEq, including 0.65 meters at 24,548 g/t AgEq, is the highest-grade intercept reported at Caracol. 〔1〕 It improves confidence in high-grade mineralization inside the existing resource area, but one intercept does not yet establish mineable continuity or convert the broader inferred resource into economic reserves.
Development is moving from permission into physical work. Earthworks began in September, with roughly 6,500 cubic meters moved for the decline portal and waste-rock facility. The company says site preparation remains on track for completion during the fourth quarter of 2026. 〔2〕 That is meaningful operational progress, though the authorization and timetable were already known before this quarterly release.
Funding removes the near-term financing question, not the execution risk. Cash and cash equivalents were $305.6 million at September 30, against a planned $98 million decline and $44 million of underground drilling. The balance appears sufficient for the stated exploration and decline program, but Sinda remains dependent on future drilling, resource conversion and eventual mine-development decisions rather than current operating revenue.
| Figure | Q3 2026 | Reference |
|---|---|---|
| Phase 2 drilling (Operational Highlights) | 31,150 m | 122,000 m planned |
| Caracol intercept (Operational Highlights) | 12,494 g/t AgEq | 3.05 m interval |
| Site material moved (Operational Highlights) | 6,500 m³ | — |
| Cash and equivalents (Liquidity and Capital Resources) | $305.6M | — |
| Exploration decline budget (Exploration Decline and Underground Development) | $98M | 3.5 years |
| Underground drilling budget (Exploration Decline and Underground Development) | $44M | 223,000 m planned |
Bottom line: This is a modestly constructive execution update, not a rewritten investment story. Sinda is advancing the drill-and-decline plan as expected, with encouraging grades and adequate cash, but the next genuinely material proof point is the year-end resource update—not this quarter’s confirmation.
