Travere earnings beat on FILSPARI sales, but losses deepen

Miss — Non-GAAP EPS $(0.31) vs ~$0.25 loss consensus; revenue $224.6M vs ~$198.3M

Travere earnings show FILSPARI sales accelerating sharply, but a deeper-than-expected loss and heavier spending complicate the growth story.

Travere is transitioning from an IgAN-focused commercial launch into a broader rare-kidney-disease platform: FILSPARI is now being expanded into FSGS, while pegtibatinase and civorebrutinib build the next pipeline layer. The market already expected rapid FILSPARI growth and was also aware of the planned December 1 CEO handoff to Bradley Campbell.

Commercial execution was clearly ahead of the bar. FILSPARI sales reached $200.2 million, up 120% year over year, and total revenue was $224.6 million versus a published consensus near $198.3 million. New patient start forms remained high at 1,932, showing that the FSGS launch is adding demand rather than merely shifting existing IgAN business.

Q3 2026Q3 2025Consensus
FILSPARI sales (Financial Results)$200.2M (+120%)$90.9M
Total revenue (Statements of Operations)$224.6M (+36.2%)$164.9M~$198.3M
Non-GAAP EPS (Adjusted Information)$(0.31)$0.59~$(0.25)
GAAP net loss (Statements of Operations)$(52.3M)$25.7M

The earnings miss is the counterweight. Non-GAAP loss per share was $0.31 versus an expected loss of roughly $0.25, while R&D and SG&A climbed to $70.3 million and $98.4 million, respectively. The $113.1 million in-process R&D charge also pushed GAAP results sharply lower, although that item reflects the already-disclosed civorebrutinib licensing strategy rather than a deterioration in FILSPARI demand.

The business is advancing, but cash conversion has not caught up with sales growth. Travere ended the quarter with $471.8 million in cash and marketable securities, but convertible debt rose to $603.5 million and stockholders’ equity fell to $22.6 million. That leaves the company funding a larger commercial and clinical footprint before the new revenue stream is producing consistent profitability. 〔0〕

Bottom line: FILSPARI demand is materially stronger than expected and supports the commercial story, but the quarter still missed on adjusted earnings because Travere is spending heavily to capture that opportunity. The net read is slightly negative: the growth engine is working, but profitability and financing remain unresolved.
