Beat — Adjusted EPS $1.34 vs ~$1.20 consensus
GE HealthCare earnings beat expectations across revenue and adjusted EPS, while management raised 2026 EPS and margin guidance.
GE HealthCare is a diversified medical-technology and diagnostics company pushing its D3 strategy: connected devices, pharmaceuticals, AI, cloud, and software across the care journey. Its recent Intelerad acquisition is accelerating the cloud-first enterprise-imaging piece of that strategy.
The quarter materially exceeded the standing bar. Published estimates clustered around roughly $1.20–$1.23 of adjusted EPS and about $5.46 billion of revenue; GE HealthCare delivered $1.34 and $5.513 billion, respectively.

| 2026 organic revenue growth guide | ~4.0% | 3.0%–4.0% | Raised to approximately 4.0% (2026 Guidance) |
| 2026 adjusted EPS guide | $4.95–$5.05 | $4.80–$5.00 | Raised (2026 Guidance) |
| 2026 adjusted EBIT margin guide | 15.5%–15.7% | 15.4%–15.7% | Range lifted at the low end (2026 Guidance) |

Growth was broad rather than dependent on one division. Advanced Imaging Solutions grew organic revenue 4.5% with a 130-basis-point margin expansion, Pharmaceutical Diagnostics grew 13.8% organically, and Patient Care Solutions rebounded to 8.8% organic growth with a 480-basis-point margin improvement (Segment Results). That breadth makes the guidance increase more credible than a raise driven only by a one-time tax or acquisition benefit.
The quality of earnings improved alongside sales. Adjusted EBIT rose 19.9% to $913 million and adjusted EBIT margin reached 16.6%, helped by volume, pricing, cost productivity, and favorable tariff effects. Free cash flow also accelerated to $793 million in the quarter and $973 million year to date (Adjusted EBIT; Free Cash Flow). The filing’s tariff refund benefit is not immaterial, but the segment-level margin gains and operating cash flow indicate the quarter was not just a tax-driven beat.
The outlook move is the clearest new information. Management raised full-year organic growth toward 4.0%, lifted the EPS range to $4.95–$5.05, and raised the low end of its margin range. 〔0〕 The direction of improvement was partly anticipated by the prior guidance range; the size and breadth of the upgrade are the surprise.
Secondary developments add execution complexity but do not overturn the quarter. The company reiterated an already announced $945 million cash acquisition of SOFIE Biosciences, expected to close in the first half of 2027. Year-to-date purchases of businesses reached $2.293 billion, while September cash stood at $2.854 billion and long-term borrowings at $9.970 billion (Cash Flow Statement; Balance Sheet). Patient Care Solutions also faces a leadership transition, with President and CEO Jeannette Bankes leaving for another public-company CEO role and Neal Sandy taking over on November 16, 2026. 〔1〕
Bottom line: This is a genuine operating beat, not merely favorable framing: revenue, margins, cash flow, and all three core segments improved, prompting a broader 2026 guidance increase. The acquisition and PCS leadership change matter, but they are secondary to a quarter that advances the company’s growth-and-margin story.
