President/CFO appointed — Wray Thorn expands from Finance Committee Chair to President and CFO
XCF Global’s executive change adds capital-formation experience as the renewable-fuels producer shifts from plant restart to scaling and integration.
XCF is moving from restarting and commercializing its Reno renewable-fuels facility toward scaling production and integrating a broader growth platform. New Rise Reno began producing renewable diesel in July 2026, while the company has been working toward a transition back into SAF production and has previously pointed to fourth-quarter 2026 SAF output.
This is an execution-and-financing appointment, not a new operating milestone. Wray Thorn is moving from Chair of the Finance Committee into the combined President and CFO role, while Interim CFO Harvey Schnitzer shifts to Director of Integration. 〔0〕 The change puts a senior capital-formation and dealmaker profile closer to day-to-day execution as XCF pursues development, licensing and acquisitions.
The positive signal is continuity with more centralized financial leadership. Thorn was already involved with the company, so this is an internal elevation rather than an outside rescue hire; Schnitzer also remains with XCF in an integration role. The filing says Thorn will focus on strengthening the financial and operating platform, while Schnitzer will lead efforts to bring together XCF’s expanding organization. 〔1〕
But the filing does not remove the main execution risks. XCF still has to prove reliable Reno production, complete the SAF transition, secure financing and resolve the landlord and lender disputes identified in its risk disclosure. The appointment improves the management structure around those tasks, but it does not itself add capacity, funding, contracts or production results.
Bottom line: This modestly strengthens the team for XCF’s next phase, especially around capital and integration, but it is an organizational step rather than evidence that the SAF scale-up has been achieved.
