The only clear numerical surprise was a modest EPS beat. Net loss was $0.18 per share versus a published consensus of approximately $0.21 per share, a narrow positive variance rather than a major change in the investment case.
| Figure | Q2 2026 | Q2 2025 / prior period | Read-through |
|---|---|---|---|
| Net loss | $13.5 million | $8.7 million | Loss widened (Income Statement) |

| R&D expense | $9.7 million | $6.6 million | Higher investment in trials (Income Statement) |
| G&A expense | $5.6 million | $4.1 million | Higher corporate spending (Income Statement) |
| Cash, equivalents and marketable securities | $239.2 million | $160.7 million at Dec. 31, 2025 | Balance strengthened by financing (Balance Sheets) |
The clinical update mostly confirms the standing roadmap rather than resetting it. CLYM116 still targets a September 3, 2026 R&D event, Phase 2 IgA nephropathy dosing in the third quarter, and additional Phase 1 data in the fourth quarter; budoprutug still points to pMN, ITP, and SLE data in the fourth quarter (CLYM116 Program Updates; Budoprutug Program Updates). The filing provides no new efficacy readout today, and the favorable safety and biomarker comments largely refer to data already presented at June medical meetings.
The cash position removes near-term financing pressure, but this is not newly discovered news. Cash rose to $239.2 million after the approximately $110 million private placement completed on April 29, 2026, and management says the balance funds operations into the second half of 2028 (Corporate Updates; Balance Sheets). Because that financing and the extended runway were already disclosed, the balance-sheet improvement is supportive but should not be treated as a fresh upside surprise.
Net: mildly better than expectations, with the real value still dependent on upcoming data. The EPS beat helps at the margin, while operating expenses rose as development activity increased and the pipeline update was broadly on schedule. The September CLYM116 PK/PD presentation and fourth-quarter budoprutug and CLYM116 readouts remain the substantive tests of whether the programs are outperforming expectations; this filing itself does not yet establish that.
