The clearest expectation was modestly exceeded: guidance moved higher. After the prior quarter’s $380–$390 million full-year 2026 revenue range, Xeris raised the floor to $385 million while keeping the ceiling at $390 million—an incremental improvement, but not a major reset.
| Metric | Q2 2026 | Q2 2025 | Change / expectation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Total revenue | $92.1M | $71.5M | +29% (Financial Highlights) |
| Net product revenue | $91.0M | $67.7M | +34% (Product revenue table) |
| Recorlev revenue | $56.8M | $31.4M | +81% (Product revenue table) |
| Gvoke revenue | $22.5M | $23.5M | -4% (Product revenue table) |
| Keveyis revenue | $11.7M | $11.5M | +2% (Product revenue table) |
| Operating income | $5.2M | $4.5M | Improved, despite higher spending (Income Statement) |
| Adjusted EBITDA | $19.3M | $12.5M | +54% (Adjusted EBITDA reconciliation) |
| Net loss | $(31.1)M | $(1.9)M | Distorted by a $30.8M debt-extinguishment charge (Income Statement; Adjusted EBITDA reconciliation) |
The commercial engine is stronger than the headline revenue growth suggests, but increasingly concentrated in Recorlev. Recorlev generated nearly all of the product-revenue increase, while Gvoke declined 4% and Keveyis was essentially flat. The 34% product-revenue gain is therefore a genuine demand signal, but the portfolio is relying heavily on Recorlev to offset weakness in the legacy products. Royalty, contract and other revenue fell 71%, limiting total-revenue growth to 29% (Product revenue table).
Underlying earnings improved, although operating leverage is not yet clean. Operating income rose to $5.2 million from $4.5 million, and adjusted EBITDA increased to $19.3 million from $12.5 million (Income Statement; Adjusted EBITDA reconciliation). However, SG&A grew 37% and R&D rose 32% as Xeris expanded the commercial organization and funded XP-8121, so the result reflects strong revenue growth alongside continued investment rather than broad cost discipline (Income Statement).
The debt exchange reduces refinancing risk but comes with meaningful dilution and cash usage. Xeris eliminated all remaining 2028 Convertible Notes through $23.0 million of cash and approximately 8.6 million new shares issued or issued upon conversion in July 2026 (2028 Convertible Notes update). The $30.8 million accounting charge drove the GAAP loss, but it was non-cash; the more lasting trade-off is a cleaner maturity profile versus roughly 8.6 million additional shares and a lower cash balance after quarter-end.
Net read: modestly better than expected, not a clean upside surprise. The raised guidance floor and Recorlev momentum outweigh the declining royalty stream, flat-to-down legacy products, elevated operating expenses, and dilution. The filing strengthens confidence in the 2026 revenue trajectory, but the improvement is incremental rather than a wholesale change in the investment picture.
