The underlying quarter was a narrow beat, not a fresh surprise. The market’s published expectation was roughly $0.60 of adjusted EPS and $209.8 million of revenue; Seacoast presented $0.61 of adjusted EPS and $210.0 million of adjusted revenue on a fully taxable-equivalent basis. That is a modest earnings beat and essentially in-line revenue, not a material reset of expectations.
| Metric | Q2 2026 | Market expectation | Read |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adjusted diluted EPS | $0.61 | ~$0.60 | Narrow beat |
| Adjusted revenue, FTE basis | $210.0M | ~$209.8M | Essentially in line |
| Reported diluted EPS | $0.55 | — | GAAP figure |
| Net income | $59.5M | — | Up 39% year over year |
The operating engine held up well beneath the headline. Organic loans grew at a 16% annualized rate, core net interest margin expanded eight basis points to 3.65%, deposits grew 4% annualized, and deposit costs declined to 1.53% (Second Quarter 2026 Highlights). The filing says, “Adjusted pre-tax pre-provision earnings1 increased 4% from the prior quarter and 52% from the prior year quarter.” 〔0〕
The quality of the beat is better than the small EPS variance suggests, but not clean. Core margin and loan growth improved, while adjusted noninterest expense remained elevated at $114.8 million and merger and integration costs were $8.4 million (GAAP to Non-GAAP Reconciliation). Acquisition-related accretion of $8.9 million was more than offset by $10.0 million of intangible amortization, producing a $0.01 drag on diluted EPS (Selected Acquisition-Related Impacts to Earnings). “Accretion on acquired loans of $8.9million, net of amortization of intangibles of $10.0million in Q2 2026 resulted in a $(0.01) impact to diluted earnings per share.”
The September 9 filing changes little because the information was already public. The Q2 results and 2026 outlook had been disclosed before this investor presentation was furnished, so the filing mainly repackages the known quarter rather than introducing a new estimate, guidance change, transaction, or capital action. The outlook remains adjusted EPS of $2.48–$2.52, high-single-digit organic loan growth, and low-to-mid-single-digit organic deposit growth (2026 Outlook). The commercial pipeline was $1.3 billion at June 30, 2026, up 24% sequentially and 50% year over year.
Net read: previously priced-in, with a modestly favorable quarter underneath. Relative to consensus, Q2 was narrowly better on adjusted EPS and roughly in line on revenue, while the balance-sheet trends were constructive. But because the results and outlook were already known before this September filing, the filing itself carries no incremental earnings signal.
