The direction was expected; the standout grade is the new information. The 2026 program was already underway and most drilling was complete, so this is an assay update rather than a surprise program launch: approximately 5,700 meters of 6,000 planned meters had been drilled. 〔0〕 The relevant benchmark is therefore the quality and geological usefulness of this batch, not an earnings-style consensus.
| Metric | Reported result |
|---|---|
| Best composite intercept | 2.45 m at 86.05 g/t Au (Table 1) |
| Best included interval | 0.80 m at 244.30 g/t Au (Table 1) |
| Additional high-grade intercept | 0.50 m at 81.57 g/t Au (Table 1) |
| Holes with visible gold | 5 of 7 (Highlights) |
| Surface program completed | 5,700 m of 6,000 m; approximately 93% (Highlights) |
| Underground development completed | 332 m of 830 m; approximately 40% (Underground Exploration Development) |
| Highest underground selective sample | 395.10 g/t Au (Table 2) |
The surface results are materially encouraging for the Coleman model. LSS26016 produced a high-grade 2.45-meter intercept, including a very high-grade 0.80-meter section, while Pad C results support down-dip continuation toward the Lucky Shot Fault. 〔1〕 This adds geological continuity and structural control, not yet a revised resource or demonstrated mine economics.
The new KM2 and KM3 structures add upside, but the headline underground grades are not representative. Development encountered two previously unmodeled mineralized veins with approximate true widths of 0.5 meters. 〔2〕 However, the 395.10 g/t result came from a selectively collected hand sample, while composite stockpile samples ranged from 0.72 to 13.27 g/t. The company explicitly says these samples cannot establish bulk grade, continuity, resources, or reserves. 〔3〕
Net read: mildly positive, with the value concentrated in one excellent drill intercept. Against a partly anticipated assay stream, the 86.05 g/t hit and discovery of additional vein structures improve the exploration picture more than a routine confirmation would. The offset is that true widths remain unknown, one of seven holes had no selected significant interval, and follow-up mapping, channel sampling, and drilling are still required before the new mineralization can be incorporated into a reliable economic interpretation.
