The quarter missed the standing revenue bar by a wide margin. Q2 revenue was $7.9 million versus a published consensus of roughly $20.8 million, while reported net income of approximately $0.1 million was not representative of operating performance.

Volume execution did not translate into revenue or profit. Antimony pounds sold increased 26%, but the realized selling price fell 52% to $13.70 per pound, only slightly above the $13.34 average cost. The result was gross margin compression to 7% from 27% a year earlier, plus a roughly $7 million operating loss. The market was already expecting a DLA-driven step-up, so the absence of recognized DLA revenue in Q2 is the central disappointment—not merely a timing footnote.
The bigger reset is full-year guidance, not the quarterly miss. Management cut 2026 revenue guidance to $60 million–$75 million from the previously communicated $125 million target. Management attributed the reduction primarily to antimony pricing rather than delivery capacity, but that distinction does not remove the earnings impact: lower prices are flowing through immediately while the hoped-for government-volume ramp is being deferred.
DLA execution is real, but the financial payoff shifts into the second half. The company delivered its first two DLA shipments in June, totaling more than 80,000 pounds and approximately $2.6 million of revenue, but acceptance arrived in July, pushing recognition into Q3. Additional Q3 and Q4 shipments could improve the run rate, but they remain dependent on inspection and acceptance rather than being fully booked today.
The balance sheet limits near-term financial stress, but does not fix the operating reset. Cash and Treasuries totaled $62.2 million, liabilities fell to $9.6 million, and debt remained minimal. However, first-half operating cash use was $20.7 million, driven largely by inventory investment, while the quarter’s roughly $0.1 million net income was supported by a $6.8 million unrealized Larvotto gain. Net read: the production platform is expanding, but this filing materially lowers the near-term revenue and margin case versus what the market had been expecting.
